연극도서관 운영방안에 관한 연구

Abstract

연극이 학문으로서 발전하고, 수준높은 연극작품이 제작되기 위해서는 연극인들의 연구와 창작활동을 지원할 연극도서관이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 연극도서관 운영의 기초자료를 마련하는 데에 그 목적을 두고 세 단계로 진행하였다. 우선 연극도서관의 개념, 특성, 역사 및 각국의 사례를 문헌을 통하여 조사하였다. 다음에는 질문지를 통하여 연극인들의 정보에 대한 인식 및 자료 입수방법과 그 과정상의 문제를 조사하였다. 그 결과 대다수의 연극인들은 정보입수에 어려움을 겪고 있고 기존의 도서관으로부터 받는 지원에 만족하지 못하고 있으며, 연극전문도서관의 필요성은 응답자 전원이 느끼고 있었다. 이상의 문헌조사와 실태조사 결과를 토대로 우리나라에 연극도서관이 신설 될 경우 그 운영방안에 대해 연구하였다. 먼저 조직의 성격을 규정하고, 자료수집, 정리의 방법과 정보봉사의 내용 및 주제전문사서의 확보방안을 제시하였다. 신설 연극도서관은 자료의 구성면에서는 전문도서관의 성격을 갖되 이용면에서는 공공도서관의 기능을 수행하도록 제안했다. 자료의 수집, 분류, 목록, 보관관리 문제는 비정형자료를 중심으로 다루었고 여기에서 제공해야 할 정보봉사의 내용은 2차자료의 생산과 정보파일의 운용에 초점을 맞추었다. 아울러 이 도서관 운영에 중심역할을 할 전문사서의 확보를 위해서 고용 후 계속교육에 의해 자격을 갖추는 방법을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 국내의 선행연구가 전혀 없는 상태에서 연극인들의 정보요구를 구체화하고 그 결과로써 연극도서관 설립의 타당성 및 운영방안을 제시하였다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 그러나 본 연구에서 포괄적으로 다룬 문제들은 앞으로 개별적으로 좀더 심층적인 연구가 필요하고, 특히 자연 과학과 사회과학분야에서만 주로 다루어졌던 이용자연구가 인문과학분야와 예술분야에서도 활발히 수행되어야 할 것이다.;In order to develop the theatre into n field of academic science and to help create high-standard play works, there is a need for a theatre library. This study, thus, attempts a three-step approach to the goal of providing with basic materials for managing the theatre library. First of all, the concept, characteristics, and history of theatre library are examined through literature. Secondly, the professional's degree of recognition of and the method as well as problems of obtaining information materials are investigated through a survey. The findings include that most of researchers and practitioners of the theatre have difficulties in obtaining information materials and remain dissatisfied with the materials supplied by the existing libraries. All of those responded to the survey agreed on the need for theatre libraries. Based on the results of the above mentioned literature research and the survey, this paper aims at suggesting how to manage a theatre library when it will be established. The study defines the nature of the organization of the library first, and then examines the wars to secure theatre librarians, the methods of collecting and processing materials, and the bibliographic information service functions. The study proposes that a new library should have a nature of a special libra교 but carry out functions of a public library and suggests on-the-job training after employment as a way to secure subject special librarians. Acquisition, classification, and storage of materials are studied with the emphasis on fugitive materials. while information service is explained with the focus on the production of second sources and the management of information files. This study finds its meaning in that it examines the information demands of theatrical people in concrete terms for the first time in our country and in result suggests the validity for establishment of a theatre library as well as the methods for its management. However, further in-depth studies should be made on the subjects handled comprehensively in this study. In paticular, the user study which has been made mainly in the fields of natural science and social science should be carried our actively in the field of humanities too.
