행위에 의한 내적 경험세계 추구

Abstract

20c에 들어와 현대 미술은 자기의 주관적인 세계를 추구하는 예술가들에 의해 매우 다양하고 복잡한 양상을 띄게 된다. 현대 미술의 출발점은 현대 미술의 본질을 규정하는 관점에 따라 다르게 정해질 수 있으나 20c초기부터 시작된 미술의 전반적인 추상회화 경향을 그 출발점으로 보며, 1950년을 전후로 현대 미술은 또 하나의 분기점을 이루게 된다. 전반기에서의 포비즘, 큐비즘, 추상주의, 표현주의, 초현실주의와 같은 수직적인 전개가 후반기에서는 추상표현주의, 앵포르멜, 팝아트, 옵아트, 하드에즈, 색채 추상, 오브제아트, 어스아트, 해프닝 , 인바이러먼트, 키네틱아트, 미니멀아트, 컨셉츄얼아트, 하이퍼리얼리즘 그리고 쉬포르/쉬르파스에 이르는 동시적이고 산발적인 전개가 이루어 졌다. 다양한 실험태도와 표현방식이 공존하는 현대 미술의 흐름 속에서 본인의 작품은 이런 양식들의 복합성을 갖는다. 다시 말해서 본인의 작품은 자동적이며 추상적인 '행위'를 바탕으로 내적 경험세계를 외부로 표출하는 동시에 화면의 자유로움과 거기에 부과되는 필연성에 의한 공간의 질서를 추구해 보고자 하였다. 작품제작논문에 있어서 내용적인 면은 1952년 미국을 중심으로 행해진 액션페인팅의 탄생 배경인 죤·듀이(John Dewey)의 '경험으로서의 예술'의 측면에서 행위의 장으로서의 회화를 논하였고, 방법적인 면에서는 액션페인팅의 화가인 잭슨 폴록(Jackson Pollock)의 dripping과 데·쿠닝(Williem de Kooning)의 geste적인 붓터치, 그리고 색채, 공간의 화가인 샘·프란시스(Sam Francis)를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 작품제작과정에 있어서 이러한 연구를 통해 본인은 앞으로 보다 폭 넓고 자유스러우며 깊이 있는 회화세계를 구축해 나가고자 한다.;In the twentieth century Modern Art entered on a various and complicated phase by the artists seeking after one's own subjective sphere. The fountainhead of Modern Art, it may be different1y defined according to a viewpoint of prescribing the essence of the modern art, is viewed as started with the general tendency of an abstract painting beginning from early 20th century, and about the time of 1950 Modern Art faced a turning point. In the first half century Modern Art assumed an aspect of Fauvisume, cubisume, Abstract Art, Expressionism, Surrealisume, while 1n the second half century Abstract expressionism, Art informal, pop art, Hard-edge, Colorfield painting, object art, Earth Art, Happening, Kinetic art, Minimal art, Conceptual art, Hyper realism, and Support / surface appeared simultaneously and sporadically. In the current of Modern Art in which various experimental attitudes and expressional manners coexist, my work has a complexity derived from the accumulation of these moods. My work based on intransitive and abstract geste sends out intrinsic world of experience externally. It shows spacial order by freedom and necessity from my work. I treat of john Dewey's 'Art an Experience' which gives birth to Action Painting in 11952 centering around the U.S.A Methodologically I comment on the Action Painting Artist Jackson Poliok's dripping and Gesture Painting Study willem de kooning and Sam Francis. Through this approach in making of the work, I make a plan to build my paintings to be wider and deeper in the future.
