악보자료의 관리에 관한 연구

Abstract

음악은 본래 시간적 예술로서 순간마다 생기는 음으로 구성되는데, 악보자료는 이를 연주·감상의 근거로서 또한 기억·보존·학습 등의 목적으로서 공간적이고 시각적인 형태로 옮겨놓은 것이다. 오늘날 음악에 대한 관심이 높아지고 음악연구 및 연주활동이 증가함에 따라, 악보는 모든 음악활동의 근거가 되는 1차자료로서 그 이용범위가 더욱 확대되고 있다. 그러나 우리나라는 음악분야의 성장속도에 비해 악보자료에 대한 관심과 활용도가 대단히 미약한 상태다. 음악은 물론, 문화·예술의 육성을 위해서 그 기초가 되는 악보자료의 폭 넓은 이용과 효율적인 관리는 필수적인 선행 조건이라 하겠다. 이에 도서관자료로서 악보의 가치와 특성을 인식하고, 그 합리적인 관리와 최대한의 활용을 위한 기초를 마련하고자 본 연구를 시도하였다. 연구방법은 문헌조사와 더불어 관련기관을 방문하여 질문지법과 면담방법을 병행하여 실시했다. 먼저 악보자료의 의의와 관리방법에 관한 제반사항을 문헌을 통하여 고찰하였다. 그리고 이를 기초로 우리나라에서의 악보자료의 생산 및 유통실태와 주요 대학도서관 및 음악단체의 악보자료 관리현황을 조사하였다. 조사대상기관은 비교적 악보소장량도 많고 악보자료에 관한 봉사를 충실히 수행하고 있는 4개 대학도서관과 3개 교향악단을 중심으로 분석하여, 수집·정리·이용에 관한 경향과 요구사항에 관하여 알아보았다. 이들 기관은 악보 자료의 특수성과 전문적인 관리에 대한 문제의식이 상당히 높았고 여러가지 방안으로 대처하고 있었으나, 여전히 많은 어려움을 안고 있었다. 공통적인 문제점으로는 악보량의 절대적인 부족, 서지통정 및 주문·정리의 어려움 그리고 주제전문적 지식이 상당히 요구된다는 점 등이 지적되었다. 현황조사 결과 얻게된 제안은 다음과 같다. 1. 악보자료의 효과적인 활용을 위해서는 그 중심점이 될 수 있는 공공 자료관의 개발이 필수적이다. 이는 문예진흥원 자료관이나 현재 준비중인 예술의 전당 자료관내에 개발할 수도 있고, 독립된 음악전문 공공자료관을 만들 수도 있다. 2. 악보자료의 서지통정에 관한 문제로, 국내에서 생산되는 악보에 체계적으로 접근할 수 있는 별도의 목록이나 통계가 요구된다. 또한 현재 소장처가 불명확하여 입수가 어려운 우리나라 작곡가들의 작품을 규명하고, 그 소장처를 중앙화하여 보존·이용하는 것이 효율적이다. 3. 악보자료의 다양한 생산을 위해 국가적인 차원의 지원이 요청된다. 더불어 악보자료의 보존과 활용을 위해 마이크로폼·팩시밀리·컴퓨터 등 다양한 방법으로 재생산하여 이용할 수 있어야 하겠다. 4. 한정된 예산내에서 고가의 악보자료를 최대한으로 활용하기 위해서는, 국내 각종 음악도서관간에 악보자료에 대한 상호협력이 이루어져야 하겠다. 5. 국제적인 협회에 가입하여 상호교류를 통해서 세계적으로 탁월한 악보장서의 소재를 규명하고 이용가능성을 모색해야 하겠다.;Music is composed of the sounds that occur at every moment, for it is originally time-shared art. Therefore, music scores are the basis of studies and appreciation of those elements, and they are the ones that shift along with spatial and visual forms for the purpose of memorizing, preserving and studing, etc. As today, the concern about music has been raised, and likewise, musical studies and performing activities would be increased; the music scores are not only the media to effectuate music among composers and performers but are further extended by its scope of utilization as the first data of musical field that would be the basis of every music activities. Thus, in order to bring up music activities in our country, it may as well be said that broader utilization and effective management of music scores should be an essential prerequisitein this regard. This study has an object for recognizing the importance of music scores as the data of library and to provide the data for its rational management and the maximum application. As for the study method, a series of observation were made on the significance of music scores and collection, arrangement and overall matters related to its utilization through bibliographies. And in order to survey the present situation of managing music scores in our country. questionnaries and interviewing methods were simultaneously conducted with the objects university libraries and music parties. As the result, the proposals obtained are as follows: Firstly, for enforcing the effective utilization of music scores, public library should be enlightened in national dimension. Public Library for music scores should be essential for fostering music parties, not to mention of music education. Secondly, there is no method of seizing the music scores data published in our country. At least, in order to systematically approach the music scores published at home, seperate catalogues or statistics for music scores should be required. Thirdly, the works by Korean composers could hardly be secured, because their possessions could hardly be located. Therefore, it should be more efficient way that all the relevant works would be preserved and utilized by centralizing those possessions inquiring into those locations of possessing the works by our composers. Fourthly, a specialized organization as the Music Library Association should be set up, and at the same time, mutual exchange of music scores and its joint procurement should be materialized. In order to broadly secure higly-priced expensive music scores, a series of mutual cooperation should be required among various kinds of domestic music libraries based on specialized organizations. Fifthly, by joining International Musicological Society and International Association of Music Libraries. it is imperative that the locations of the world-famous music information sources should be searched for groping its possibility of utilization in this regard.
