한국 산수화에 나타난 숭고미(神聖性) 표현에 관한 연구

Abstract

지금까지 崇高美의 문제는 文化人類學이나 宗敎의 문제로만 여겨져 왔다. 그러나 모든 예술의 근저에는 위대한 종교와 사상이 있었던 만큼 숭고미의 문제는 作品素材로써 중요한 비중을 차지하고 있다. 때문에 본논문에서는 우선 숭고미의 개념과 素材의 특성을 살펴 보았으며 山水畵를 中心으로 그 내용을 고찰해 보았다. 여기서 얻은 결론은 서양은 기독교의 내용을 人物畵를 중심으로 숭고미를 표현해 왔으며 東洋에선 山水畵를 근간으로 이루어져 왔다는 점이다. 다시말해서 山水ㆍ人物이 그 表現의 대상이 되어 왔었다는 사실이다. 그렇다면, 문제는 이들 素材를 어떠한 원리와 법칙으로 구성하여 하나의 統一된 "聖스러움"으로 이끌어 갈 수 있겠는가 하는 사실이다. 따라서 본작품에서는 이점에 대하여 전통 한국화의 작품사례를 검토해봄으로써 적용가능성을 조사해 보았다. 그결과 얻을 수 있었던 다행한 사실은 숭고미는 더 이상 상징적 구조로만 인식된 것이 아니라 作品속에서 성스러움을 포용하는 어떤 실체 (Somethingelse)은 존재할 필요가 있다고 하는 사실이다. 그러므로 본작품은 이점에 착안하여 위에서 제시된 기법을 중심으로 秋景鬪 夏景 山水圖 女人圖 제작되게 되었다.;Up to the present, the Sublime Beauty has been regarded as the point religion and cultural anthropology. But it is true that the Arts has been based on the religion and the ideology. So the Sublime Beauty has been important position as a theme. Therefore I would like to study on the conception of the Sublime Beauty, at the viewpoint of Korean Ink Paintings. While in the West, the religious paintings have been developed in the center of figure paintings, in the Orient, it has been developed in the center of landscape paintings. Because in the Orient, three thoughts of Confucianism, Taoism, and Zen sect have formed the basis of oriental current through China's successive generation and have given good effect to the whole cultural arts and they have each different characters with complex and harmony. The important point at this study, is the making clear the principles that organize the Sublime Beauty, and I think that in order to explain this meaning, it is necessary to study the traditional Korean Painting as examples. Consequently the Sublime Beauty has been represented with the holiness in our tradition Korean Paintings. To explain the Sublime Beauty, I take three painters in Chosun Dynasty as examples. As a result, the Sublime Beauty has more symbolic compositions, it is described in Paintings as the holiness. And I have tried to express the Sublime Beauty as representing natural matters. With these theories, I explain the technique and the tone that was mainly used my three works. And I have a challenge in the method of expression with the nature Stuffing on the basis of the thought "The Sublime Beauty."
