L. van Beethoven, F. Chopin, C. Debussy, A. Khachaturian에 대한 소고

Abstract

본 논문은 L. van Beethoven, F. Chopin, C. Debussy, A. Khachaturian의 피아노 작품에 대한 연구이다. 저자의 졸업 연주회 프로그램에 따라 그들의 피아노 음악에 대해 간단히 알아 보았고 각 작품의 분석을 통해 구조와 특징적인 요소들을 살펴 보았다. L. van Beethoven의 제3기 소나타인 Op. 110은 3악장으로 구성되어 있으며 1악장은 소나타 형식이지만 발전부가 제시부나 재현부에 비해 매우 짧고 이명동음적 전조등 고전 소나타에서 볼 수 없는 면을 보여준다. 또한 3악장은 recitative, Arioso, Fugue를 자유롭게 사용하고 있으며 대담한 화성, 다양한 리듬을 구사하면서 대위법적 기법을 사용한다. F. Chopin의 피아노 소나타 Op. 58은 전형적 소나타 형식인 4악장으로 구성되어 있다. 소나타 형식의 1악장은 제시부의 제 1주제가 재현부에서 생략되어 있고 경쾌한 스케르쪼 악장이 3악장 대신 2악장에 사용되어 있다. 또한 이 소나타는 선율의 모방기법, 반음계적 진행, 즉흥적인 장식음등의 사용으로 그의 음악적 특징을 잘 나타낸 작품이다. C. Debussy의 피아노 작품 「영상」Ⅰ부는 3개의 소품으로 이루어져 있으며 그중 Reflects dans l'eau (물의 반영)는 인상주의적 특징이 가장 잘 나타나 있다. 즉 선법음계나 온음음계, 5음음계등을 사용했고 조성이 불분명하며 리듬과 박자도 불규칙적이다. A. Khachaturian의 피아노 작품 토카타는 ABA의 형식으로 구성되어 있다. 강렬한 리듬과 무궁동 (perpetum mobile)으로 이루어진 A부분과 아르메니아 전통의 음울한 선율로 이루어진 B부분이 대조를 이루고 있으며 특히 A부분의 강렬한 리듬과 무궁동은 피아노의 타악기적 효과를 잘 나타내 준다.;This paper is to analyze the piano works of Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy and Khachaturian. The analysis includes a brief description of their piano music and is centered on defining the structure and characteristic elements of their works performed at the author's piano recital for MA degree. Beethoven's Sonata Op. 110 which belongs to his third period has three movements. The first movement is a sonata form. But it has such features not found in the classical sonata as the enharmonic modulation and much shorter development than exposition or recapitulation. The third movement uses recitative, arioso and fugue in a free way. Bold harmonies, varied rhythms and contrapuntal style are also used. Piano Sonata Op.58 of Chopin is composed of four movements, a typical sonata form. The first theme of exposition in the first movement is omitted in recapitulation. Light scherzo appears in the second movement rather than the third. With the use of melodic imitation, chromatic progression and improvised ornament, this sonata reflects Chopin's musical character very well. A Debussy's piano work, Images l'ere se´rie contains three pieces. Of the three, Reflects dans l'eau best shows his impressionistic features; it uses modal scale, whole-tone and pentatonic scale; tonality is not clear, and rhythms and beats are irregular. Khachaturian's Toccata has the A-B-A' form. Section A with stirring rhythms and perpetuum mobile figurations shows a contrast to B with languid melodies which show his native Armenian heritage. In particular, stirring rhythms and perpetuum mobile figurations reflect well a percussion effect of piano.
