內的 表現을 위한 象徵的 形象 追究

Abstract

If picture is a form of expression, it is a psychological one presenting the inner self of man, therefore, the image of inner conflict generated between self and the outer world is expressed by means of the formative qualities of picture. At this moment, I would like to metophorically form the conflict between the predestined passivity and activeness, and deep image of exterior reality and interior mental world. Passivity is created by social relationship and is regardless of man's natural will, while activeness attempts to attach a real meaning to one's existence. I would also like to implicatively present the reality by giving a melancholic touch to the canvas. In order to present the inner form of man in reality as a formative art, I have given value to the endless search of a symbol of the inner conflict. Here I would like to theoretically study how man's inner conflict is refined and then layed on canvas as an art form. While conventional Oriental Art gives meaning to the pursuance of the intrinsic qualities of the universe in the mental world, I would like to realistically symbolize modern man's Psychological wandering due to his solitude and anxiety, inner distress and frustration, by means of detail and realistic forms. Rather than expressing the inner conflict in the sense of complicated and kinetic struggle, I have statically managed the inner conflict, in other words, I have melancholically thranquilized the inner world in formation, in order to symbolize the intrinsic inner conflict. In such a manner, by groping about the very bottom of mental world of nan, I have tried to achieve the construction of self existence. I have tried to express the yearning for the new life and the relaxation of the soul by pursuing formation of community spirit and humanity restoration through presentation of image of man who suffers from anxious mental distress and conflict putting emphasis on how we percept and feel the infringing reality of human existence.;繪畵가 하나의 表現이라면 그것은 人間 內部의 心的 表現이며, 自我와 外界間에서 비롯되는 內的 葛藤의 心象은 繪畵의 要素로 象徵되어 形象化된다. 時代的 狀況속에서 內面의 形象에 의한 造形 空間을 이루기 위해 그 가치의 방향을 '內的 葛藤의 象徵'에로의 끊임없는 模索에 두고, 人間의 內的 葛藤이 純化되어 藝術로 어떻게 화면에 形象化되는지를 이론적으로 고찰해 보았다. 이에 本人은 인간의 자연적 의사와는 무관한 사회적 관계속에서의 숙명적인 受動的 自我와 스스로 자신에게 진정한 存在意味를 부여하려는 能動的 自我간의 葛藤과, 外的인 現實과 內的인 精神世界의 심층 image를 은유적으로 形象化하고, 화면을 우수적인 분위기로 끌어 現實을 含蓄 示唆하고자 하였다. 종래의 東洋繪畵가 宇宙 本質을 追究한 精神世界의 象徵인 반면에, 本人은 現代의 狀況을 직시하고 人間의 孤獨과 不安에 직면한 現代人의 精神的 彷徨, 人間 內面의 苦惱, 絶望을 具體的이고, 寫實的인 形象을 빌어 寫實的 技法으로 象徵化하고자 하였다. 그 표현방법에 있어 갈등적인 마음의 상태를 淨的으로 용해하여 자신을 되돌아보는 형태로, 우수적으로 조용히 內面世界로 침잠하는 형상으로 人間의 본질적인 內的 葛藤을 나타내보고자 하였다. 또한 人間의 實存이 侵害당하고 있는 現實을 어떻게 보고 느끼고 있는가 하는 視覺에 중점을 두고 불안한 정신적 苦惱와 葛藤을 지닌 人間의 image를 표현하여 共同體 意識의 形成과 人間性 回復을 추구하는 새로운 삶의 갈망과 靈魂의 安息에 대한 憧憬을 表現하고자 하였다.
