2중직에 의한 부조적 표현연구

Abstract

현대 섬유예술의 경향은 그 개념이나 조형성이 종래의 형식에서 벗어나, 자유로운 재료 및 방법 등을 근거로 다양한 표현 양식이 추구되고 있다. 섬유예술의 조형적 요소로서 조직에 의한 부조적 표현과, 기법, 조립에 대한 다양한 변화는 2차원적 표현 양식에서 부조와 입체의 3차원적인 형태로까지 발전하게 되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 섬유예술의 부조적 표현 배경과 2중직에 의한 조형적 특성을 문헌을 통해 알아보고, 자연에서 느낀 변화와 움직임 등을 이중직에 의한 부조적 형태로 표현하고자 하였다. 작품 제작에 있어서는 재료의 질적인 속성이 자연이미지와 부합되는 마사, 면사, 울(Wool), 린넨 등 천연재료를 사용하였다. 제작 방법은 슬릿(Slit)과 2중직을 이용하여 자연의 움직임이나 변화되는 과정, 미적인 체험 등을 Tapestry기법으로 표현하였다. 이러한 연구과정을 통해 자연에 대한 미적가치를 재발견하고 Tapestry의 영역에 대한 새로운 인식을 갖게 되었으며, 2중직 기법에 의한 조형적 형태를 확대시켜 나갈 수 있었다. 재료에 있어서도 다양한 개발의 필요성을 느꼈으며 보다 적극적이고 창의적인 실험정신을 가지고 재료나 형식에 구애받지 않는 연구적 자세로 나아가야 할 것이다.;The trend of the modern fiber arts tends to pursue various Styles of expression. This is due to the abundance of materials and alternative methods, and also by escaping the traditional formalism of conceptions and mouldings. The plastic element is the relievable expression by which the difference of the materials used and various changes of constrution techniques, two dimensional Styles of expresses can be developed into the three dimensional forms of the relief and solid. This paper expresses that the background of relievable expression and the plastic characteristics of double weave, is observed in literature written about this subject. I tried to express the changes and rhythms that I felt from nature, found new recognition of the tapestry area and enlarged the plastic from by double weave. Mainly natural materials are used. I feel that there is a necessity for merterial development. I also feel that in the future a more imaginative attitude is essential to expand the creative spirit, while keeping in touch with the basic art form.
