19세기 자유주의 신학에 대한 K. Barth의 종교비판 연구

Abstract

By failing to notice the eschatological meaning of the revelation of God, the Liberal Theology in the 19th century dissolved the transcendental-historical revelation of God into a general history. So, this thesis intended to study theological and historical meaning of the religion-criticism by K. Barth that protested not only against the mental anthropomorphism, which was the result of the Historicism and the doctrine of immanent God in Liberal Theology, but also against the Culture-Christianity of contemporary Western Europe as its historical actuality ; through such a study, it intended to stand out the questionable issue of the doctrine of God which Modern Theology contained. Then, it can be said that the humanizing tendency in the 19th century's Liberal Theology of the doctrine of immanent God and the questionable issue of the culture accompanied by it are problems of heresy in the christian church which has its origin in F. Schleiermacher. According to which, this thesis confined the objects of K. Barth's religion-criticirm to the theology of Schleiermacher It can be proved in his theological concept of 'religion' that the theology of Schleiermacher endowed the cultural recognition of the Protestant Modernism and its theological heresy with formal basis. The concept of 'religion' which appears in the theology of Schleiermacher extracts from human nature, and then it is a religious-consciousness of man or a phenomenon of religiosity of man that he emphasized on by 'religion' Like this, the interpretation of immanent religion by, Schleiermacher assuming the understanding of positive religion reduced the revelation of God to an idea of history and world. After all, the conception of revelation of God could never abstract from the level of religious consciousness in Schleiermacher. Barth established 'the limits of religion' from the viewpoint of understanding the eschatological revelation of God in 〈Der Romerbrief〉 2nd ed. (1922) and cleared 'the meaning and the relait of religion' through the commentary on Romans: Chap. Ⅶ. And in 〈Kirchliche Dogmatik, I/2〉, after presupposing ' the revelation of God as the abolition of religion, 'Barth considered religion as the act of contradiction to the revelation, and then commented on 'the religion as unbelief.' Finally, in accordance with his dialectic logic, Barth presented a positive possibility of 'the true religion.' In conclusion, the meaning of the Barth's religion-criticism on the Liberal Theology can be perspected again from the context of the questionable issue of the doctrine of God in Modern Theology.;19세기 자유주의 신학은 계시의 종말적 의의를 간과하므로써 초역사적인 하나님의 계시를 역사 일반에로 해소시키고 말았다. 이에 본 논문에서는, 자유주의 신학의 역사주의와 내재신론의 귀결인 정신적 '신·인 동형론'과 그것의 역사적 현실로서 당대 서구 유럽의 '문화 기독교'에 항의하는 K.Barth의 종교 비판의 신학적·역사적 의의를 규명하며, 그로써 현대 신학이 내포하고 있는 신론의 문제 상황을 부각시켜 보고자 하였다. 그런데 19세기 내재신론적 자유주의 신학의 인간화 추세와 그에 따르는 문화의 문제 상황은 F.Schleiermacher로 부터 배태되어온 기독교 교회 내 이단의 문제라 할 수 있으며, 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 Barth의 종교 비판의 대상을 Schleiermacher의 신학에 한정시켰다. Schleiermacher의 신학이 프로테스탄트 현대주의의 문화적 인식과 그것의 신학적 이단에 형식적 근거를 부여했다는 사실은 그의 신학의 '종교'개념 안에서 증거될 수 있다. Schleiermacher의 신학에 나타나는 '종교'개념은 인간의 본성으로부터 도출되는 것으로서, 그가 '종교'에 의해 강조하는 바는 인간의 종교의식 혹은 인간의 종교성의 현상이었다. 이처럼 실증적 종교 이해를 전제로 한 Schleiermacher의 내재적 종교 해석은 계시를 역사와 세계 이념에로 환원시키고 말았다. 결국 계시 개념은 결코 Schleiermacher의 종교 의식의 차원으로부터 도출될 수 없었던 것이다. Barth는 < Der Ro¨merbrief : 로마서 주석>에서, 종말적 계시 이해의 관점에서 종교의 한계를 설정하며, 롬7장 주석을 통해 종교의 의미와 그 실재를 밝히고 있다. 그리고 <교의학I / 2 : Kirchliche Dogmatik I / 2 )에서 Barth는 먼저 '종교의 폐기로서의 계시'를 전제한 후, 계시에 반립하는 행위를 종교로 간주하고 '불신앙으로서의 종교'를 논한다. 끝으로 Barth는 그의 변증법적 논리에 따라, 다시 긍정적인 '참된 종교'의 가능성을 제시하고 있다. 결론적으로, Barth의 자유주의 신학에 대한 종교 비판의 의의는 현대 신학의 신론의 문제 상황으로부터 재조명될 수 있다.
