우리나라 부문별 본원통화가 통화에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증 연구

Abstract

본 논문의 목적은 통화가 공급되는 경로에 따라 통화공급과 실물경제에 미치는 영향이 어떻게 다른지 실증분석을 하는데 있다. 통화의 주요 공급루트인 본원통화가 공급되는 경로에 따라 통화 (M_(1))의 공급에 미치는 영향을 1971년부터 1987년까지 데이터를 사용하여 실증분석을 하였다. 이 분석 결과에 따르면 본원통화의 공급경로에 의한 부문별 통화. 즉, 정부부문, 금융부문, 해외부문, 기타부문의 본원통화가 통화(M_(1))의 공급에 각기 다른 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 본원통화의 부문별 통화중 해외부문 본원통화가 통화(M_(1))의 공급에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본원통화의 공급경로에 따른 부문별로 본원통화와 통화(M_(1))공급과의 시차분포 관계에 대한 추정은, 해외부문 본원통화가 적은 시차에서 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로, 통화(M_(1))의 공급경로에 따라 명목 GNP에 미치는 영향을, 1971년 1분기부터 1986년 4분기까지 자료를 이용하여 실증분석하였다. 이 분석 결과에 의하면, 통화(M_(1))의 공급경로에 따른 무분별 통화의 변화량이 명목GNP변화에 미치는 영향이 각기 다르게 나타났다. 그리고, 부문별 통화중 정부부문 통화가 명목 GNP에 가장 큰 영향을 미치며, 다음으로 민간부문통화, 해외부문통화의 순으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 추정 결과에 근거하여 통화의 공급은 본원통화가 공급되는 경로에 따라 통화공급에 미치는 영향이 각기 다르며, 통화가 공급되는 경로에 따라 명목GNP에 미치는 영향이 다르게 나타난다고 말할 수 있다. 해외부문 본원통화가 통화공급에 미치는 영향이 다른 것보다 크게 나타나고 있으며, 해외부문 통화가 명목GNP에 미치는 영향은 상대적으로 작게 나타나고 있는데, 최근과 같이 해외부문 통화가 통화공급의 주요한 요인으로 작용하게 되면, 통화공급에 대한 파급효과는 더욱 크게 나타나지만, 명목GNP에는 적은 영향을 미치게 될 것으로 생각된다. 따라서, 통화당국은 기존의 통화총량을 통한 통화관리방식에서 벗어나 통화공급 경로에 대한 관심을 기울여야 하며, 통화의 공급경로별 변화에 대한 단기 전망을 전문화하고 통화의 공급경로별 관리를 위한 정책적 고려를 해야한다.;The purpose of this thesis is to empirically analisis how differently money supply and the real economy are affected by the various money supply sources. First, the impact of the high-powered money supply (one of main money supply sources) on the money Supply (M1) is analized by using the monthly data of korea for the period of 1971-1987. According to the results of this study, each component of high-powered money - the government sector, the financial sector, the foreign sector, and the other sector - has a different effect on money supply(M1). Of these, the foreign sector is the most influential power over money supply (M1). Also, the estimate of lag distribution between each sector in high-powered money and money supply (M1) shows that the foreign sector influences money supply (M1) the most with a small time lag. Secondly, the impact of money supply sources(M1) on the nominal GNP is analized by using the quartly data of 1971, Ⅰ. - 1986, Ⅳ. The results are as follows; A change of money supply (M1) in each sector has a different influence on nominal GNP and the government sector affects nominal GNP the most followed by the private sector, and then the foreign sector. Based upon, these 2 empirical, it can be said that money supply is affected differently by each money supply sources, and the money supply sources also have a different influence on the nominal GNP. Judging from the fact that the high-powered money in the foreign sector has a greater effect on money supply (M1) than the others, but on the other hand, its impact on the norminal GNP is relatively low if may be said that the impact of the foreign sector on the money supply will increase more and more, but continue to decrease on the norminal GNP, especially at time when the foreign sector accounts for money supply as a main factor, as is the case these days. Therefore, monetary authority should pay attention to the money supply sources themselves rather than the existing monetary aggregate system in money control, and specialize the short-run outlook for the change of money supply sources. In addition, the policy for money control by money supply sources should be highly considered.
