W. A. Mozart, F. Liszt, M. Mussorgsky, R. Strauss의 성악작품에 대한 연구

Abstract

본인은 1988년 10월25일에 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업 연주회를 가졌다. 본 논문에서는 졸업 연주회에서 연주하였던 작품들의 특징과 작가의 음악적인 배경을 살펴보는데 주안점을 두었다. Wolfgang Amedeus Mozart(1756-1791)는 고전주의 양식의 대가로서 그의 짧은 생을통해 많은 작품을 썼다. 그가 남겼던 22편의 오페라 중에서 Il re′ Pastore(양치기 임금님)는 그가 초기에 작곡한 오페라에 속한다. 아리아 “L‘amero′ saro′ Costante”는 “양치기 임금님”의 2막에 나오는 곡으로서 주인공 아민타가 자신의 애인인 엘리자에 대한 사랑의 불변함을 노래한 곡으로 유명하다. 특히 이 곡은 Violin obbligato가 수반되어 노래하며, 론도형식의 노래이다. Franz Liszt(1811-1886)는 낭만파 시대의 한 작곡가로 피아노곡과 교향곡이 그 대표적인 작곡영역이다. 그는 불어, 독어, 헝가리어 영어등의 시에 맞추어 여러가곡들을 작곡하였다. “S'il est un charmant gazon” “Enfant, si j'e′tais roi” “oh! guand je dors”등은 Victer Hugo의 불어시에 붙힌곡들로서 리스트의 특징인 피아노 반주가 강조되고, 멜로디의 선율은 극적이고 아름답다. Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky(1839-1881)는 러시아 5인조 작곡가중의 한 사람으로서 특히 사실주의 작곡가로 유명하다. 연가곡 “Kinderstube” (어린이방)는 사실주의 기법을 사용한 대표적인 작품이다. Richard Strauss (1864-1949)는 후기 낭만파 시대의 한 사람으로 교향시 오페라, 가곡등의 작곡가로서 탁월함을 보인다. 가곡 Op.68. Brentano의 시에 붙힌 여섯개의 노래(Sechs Lieder von Brentano)는 시트라우스의 후기에 해당하는 가곡으로서 복잡한 화성진행과 잦은전조, 반음계적인 진행과 반음계 scale의 처리 4도, 2도등의 비화성음의 사용등으로 탈 조성의 형태를 추구하였던 것이다. 이상에서 본인은 이들 성악작품에 대한 연구와 함께 Mozart 곡에서는 초기의 Mozart 오페라에 대해서, 그리고 Mussorgsky의 곡에서는 그의 사실주의 예술관에 대해서도 분석해 보았다.;The writer gave a graduate voice on October 25, 1988 as one of the assigned courses for the M.M. degree. This thesis aims at investigating the backgrounds and characteristics of the performed pieces which are composed by four composers, Mozart, Liszt, Mussorgsky and strauss. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), one of the great composers of the classical period, produced many master pieces throughout his short life. "Il re´ pastore" is an early work amongst his 22 operas. The Aria "L'amero´, saro´ costante" is to the song delivered by Aminta in the 2nd-act of the opera. The song is expressed with Aminta's unchangable love for his lover, Elisa. Accompanied with violin obbligato, "L'amero´, saro´ costante" shows the instrumental music style of Rondo form. Franz Liszt (1811-1886) was a composer of the Romantic period. His major concern in composing was on the part of piano and symphony works. Also he set songs to German, French, Hungarian, and English poems. "S'il est un charmant gazon", "Enfant, si jetais roi" "oh! quand je dors" are his songs which were the setting of Victor Hugo's poem. In addition to appropriate poetic expressions, these melodies are famous for their dramatic expression. These songs also examplify Liszt's emphasis on piano accompanying part. Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky (1864-1949) is known as one composer of the "Five Russian Nationalists". He was a prominent musician who adopted realism in his works. His song cycle "Detskaya" (kinderstube) took Mussorgsky 4 years from 1868 through 1872 to complete. "Detskaya" which is said to be his best work of realism, contains songs about children's behavior, attitudes and feelings while they are playing in the nursery. Richard strauss (1864-1949) belongs to the post-romantic period and he was eminent in symphonic poems, operas and art songs. "Sechs Lieder von Brentano," Op.68, composed in 1918, consists of six songs to Brentano's poems. He created Op.68 in his old age, using complex harmony, frequent modulation, chromatic movement, chromatic scales, the intervals of 4th and 2nd, and nonharmonic chords. Every Song is especially well harmonized with the poem. In all, the works which the researcher analyzed seem to be appropriate for understanding the vocal music of four great composers.
