F. Liszt의 E´tudes d'Execution Transcendante에 대한 硏究

Abstract

19세기 초반에 태어난 Franz Liszt (1811-1886)는 피아노 技巧의 대표적 作曲家이다. 19세기 浪漫主義時代의 피아노는 어떠한 표현이나 技巧도 가능하게끔 되었으며 특히 이 時代는 피아니스트에 있어 高度의 技巧 訓練이 필수적인 조건으로 어느 시기보다 활발하게 Etude에서 나타나고 있다. Etude는 19세기 初에 技巧 위주였으나 F. Chopin (1810-1849)은 技巧에 音樂的 내용이 담긴 Etude를 作曲했으며 Liszt는 Chopin과 N. Paganini (1782-1840)의 영향으로 浪漫的인 感情이 담긴 超技巧的 Etude를 많이 作曲했는데 이들은 대부분 演奏活動의 전성기였던 젊은 시절의 것으로 Etude를 標題音樂의 次元에까지 도달시키고 있다. 木 論文에서는 Liszt의 E´tudes d'Execution Transcendante 全曲 12개를 主題展開와 技巧的인 面에서 考察하였으며, 그 특징들을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 形式에 있어 變奏技法 사용하여 主題가 광대하게 변형되는 자유스러운 形式을 취하고 있다. 2. 12曲의 조성은 奇數는 長調, 偶數는 短調인데 長調와 短調의 관계는 竝行調이며, 各 奇數와 偶數는 버금딸림조관계로 구성되어 있다. 3. 2, 10번을 제외한 10曲에 標題가 있는데 이것은 그의 音樂이 音樂外的 世界나 槪念에 의존함을 보여주며 各曲은 標題가 암시하는 분위기를 잘 표현하고 있다. 4. 主題가 선율적, 리듬적으로 변형되어 전개되며 技巧를 요하는 伴奏部와 經過句가 많이 나타나고 있다. 5. Chopin의 영향을 받아 현저히 확장된 코드(Chord)와 轉調를 내포하고 있으며 특히 반음계적 전조, 증·감화음, 증2도가 포함된 집시음계(gypsy scale)도 나타나고 있다. 6. 音들을 차례로 잇는 것보다는 音響을 위해 肉體的으로 가능한한 많은 건반을 동시에 소리내었으며 페달이 갖는 音響效果를 최대한 사용하며 色彩的 效果를 더하였다. 7. 그 당대에 사용되었던 피아노 技巧뿐 아니라 Liszt 自身이 創案한 모든 技巧를 구사하였는데 이것은 더 많은 音城과 音量을 요구하고 있다. 이상과 같이 各曲은 標題가 암시하는 분위기와 超技巧로 이루어졌으며 浪漫的인 感情으로 一貫되어 있다. 이 曲들은 단순히 손가락 연습을 위한 Etude를 넘어 演奏會用 Etude로써 피아니스트에게는 필수적인 作品이다.;Franz Liszt (1811-1886) was a well known composer with brilliant piano techniques. Expression of emotions and out-standing piano techniques were required during the 19th century romantic period as this period demended highly developed techniques by the pianist, especially evident in the etude. Although the early 19th century etude had its prime objective on techniques, F. Chopin (1810-1849) composed etudes which mixed difficult techniques with musical content. Liszt composed Etudes d'Execution Transcendante with romantic expression under the influence of chopin and N. Paganini (1782-1840). These works by Liszt reached the level of programme music as they were composed during his earlier days as a young musicians. The present : study examines the techniques 2nd thematic development in the 12 pieces of Liszt's E´tudes d'Execution Transcendante. The findings of general characteristics are as follows 1. In form, a free use of the variation method is used combined with an extensive use of different themes. 2. Among the 12 pieces odd numbered mode are in major mode and even numbered mode are in minor mode. 3. With the exception of numbers 2 and 10 the remaining 10 pieces rely on music based on ideas which are well reflected in their respective titles. 4. The romantic development is achieved through melodic and rhythmic changes. 5. Extended use of chords, the chromatic modulations, augmented and diminished chords and the gypsy scale are employed. 6. The maximum colorful effect of sonority was achieved through the extensive use of keyboard and pedal simultaneously. 7. Liszt employed all available techniques of that period combined with techniques developed by him to produce sounds with range and sonority.
