자연과 인공적형태의 환상적 표현

Abstract

현대미술의 표현양식은 구상미술에서 점차로 작가자신을 주장하는 추상미술로 변모하는 경향이 있다. 이러한 현대미술의 경향은 자연대상을 그대로 재현하는 것이 아닌 작가의 주관에 의한 독창적 표현이라고 할 수 있다. 표현은 인간의 마음속에 있는 창조적 자유를 긍정하는 표현이므로 환상적이고 추상적인 형식으로 표현되는 수도 있다. 본 연구는 「자연과 인공적 형태의 환상적 표현」이란 주제를 설정하여 대상에서의 이미지를 새로운 시각적 세계로 표현하려는데 목적을 두고 이와같은 목적을 위하여 인공적 형태와 자연적 형태가 주는 의미에 관한 이론적 배경을 두가지 측면에서 고찰하였다. 첫째, 작가의 내면세계에 존재하는 주관과 이상에 따라, 자신의 표현세계를 구축하였으며 기존관념에서 해방된 자유스러운 표현을 제시하려고 시도하였다. 둘째, 사물의 관찰에 있어서 대상에서 보여지는 외형적 관점과 그 사물이 가지고 있는 의미의 변화등을 구조적 측면에서 개념을 정립하기 위하여 연구하였다. Ⅲ장에서는 앞에서의 이론적 배경을 토대로 7점의 작품을 제작하고 분석하였다. 이와같은 이론적 배경의 고찰과 작품제작에서 얻어진 결론을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현대의 조형활동은 표현양식에 대한 개개인의 연구를 통해서 작가의 주관적 미의식에 의한 다양하고 차원높은 표현이 가능한 시대이다. 둘째, 제작과정에서 표현대상으로 택한 자연과 인공적 형태는 연구자가 의도한 환상적표현에 긍정적 소재였다. 셋째, BATIK기법은 많은 시간과 노력이 소요되지만 재료와 표현 기법의 연구에 따라 다양한 표현이 가능함을 알 수 있었다. 한편, 작품제작과정에서 다음과 같은 문제점도 발견할 수 있었다. 첫째, 대상의 이미지를 표현하는데 일관된 형태의 배치에도 불구하고 공간에서의 질서있는 통일성이 아쉬웠다. 둘째, 동일계통인 배색으로 색조의 변화가 비교적 단조로워 보다 다양한 효과를 위한 연구가 요구된다. 이러한 문제점을 해소하기 위해서는 끊임없는 연구가 있어야겠다고 생각되며 앞으로도 염색재료와 기법의 특성을 연구, 개발함으로서 염색공예의 발전에 기여 할 수 있을 것이라 생 각한다.;The trend of modern art is gradually changing from the realism to the abstractism that reflects the artist's concepts. This modern art is not copying the natural object in itself but reconstructing it originally by the artist's subject. As these expressions reflects the creative liberty that resides within the artist, they are to be shown in fantastic and abstract way. This research makes a subject "A Fantastic Expression of Natureal Forms and Artificial Forms" and is aimed to retract a visible world from the images of an objective matter. To achieve this purpose, the theoretical background about the meaning of the nature and the artificial models were analyzed in two ways First, according to the subject and the ideas that loomed in the inner world of the artist, the artist constructed her own world of expression that was free from conventional concepts. Second, the artist researched to establish the structural concept of the objective matter and its change of meaning. In chapter 3, seven works were processed and analyzed on the theoretical background. Brief conclusions in this research are as follows : 1. The artist's subjective and esthetic will could be reappeared as modern models in a diverse and upgraded way of expression. 2. The artist found the nature and artificial models were adequate subjective matters for the fantastic expression. 3. Though BATIK technique required long time and efforts, the artist found it possible to express the subjective matters in various ways through the research on the materials and the expression techniques. There were some problems in working process as listed below. 1. To express the images of the city, the artist intended to arrange the consistent modes in the space but there were something to be desired in an orderly unification of the space. 2. In the artist's works systematical layout of similar colors made the works simple in coloring, so more researches are required for the diverse effect of color tint. To solve these problems, continuous researches are needed. And the development of dyeing materials will enhance the level of the the industrial dyeing art.
