草·麻鞋의 모티브를 응용한 "신"의 디자인

Abstract

本 硏究에서는 草·麻鞋의 歷史를 考察하여 草·麻鞋의 現代化를 위한 방안으로 洋靴를 製作하였다. 文獻資料에서 우리나라 靴鞋工藝에 關하여 직접적으로 시사하고 있는 資料는 거의 없는 상태이므로 服飾史的 資料에서 斷片的으로 유추하여 보았다. 그 결과 우리나라의 신은 鞋와 履로 大別되는데 그 種類에는 太史鞋, 발막신, 鹿皮鞋, 挾金鞋, 唐鞋, 雲鞋, 繡鞋, 皮草鞋, 麻鞋,僧鞋, 妓鞋, 紙鞋, 작, 木靴, 水鞋子, 木履, 油鞋, 白鞋, 祭鞋, 노파리, 털신, □피등의 種類로 分類 할 수 있었다. 이러한 種類中에 草· 麻鞋의 歷史는 人類文化의 初期段階까지 遡及된다. 이것은 材料의 活用이 용이하고 구하기 쉬웠기 때문인 것으로 보인다. 草·麻鞋의 材料에는 볏짚, 왕골, 칡 등이 있다. 우리나라 最古의 신은 扶餘의 초탑, 馬韓의 초교, 초교답등으로 가죽이나 풀을 이용하여 만들었다. 新羅時代에는 眞骨大等이 麻를 이용한 履를 신었다. 高麗時代에도 草·麻鞋을 使用하였는데 形態는 앞쪽이 낮고 뒤쪽이 높은 것으로 男女老少가 평상시에 신었다. 朝鮮時代에는 一般男子가 가장 흔히 使用하던 것으로 그 나름대로 品質의 구별이 있어 精製品은 兩班家에서 使用하고 엉성한 것은 庶民들이 使用하였다. 1880年代에 개화파와 외교관들에게 의해 洋靴가 도입되어, 그 후 1895年부터 上流社會에서 양장에 구두를 신게 되었다. 그러나 庶民들은 계속 짚신을 使用하였다. 1900年代에는 짚신, 미투리 대신 고무신을 착용하였으나 짚신은 1930年代까지만 볼 수 있었다. 1930年代에는 대담한 양장에 어울리는 대담한 洋靴가 流行하였으며 그 후는 2次對戰의 影響으로 作業靴와 軍靴를 신었다. 1950年代부터 洋靴를 만드는데도 機械化가 되어 슬리퍼식의 샌들과 하이힐이 주종이었다. 1960年代는 經濟成長과 政局安定, 海外進出등의 社會的여건 속에 여러 기업들의 상호경쟁으로 기술개발이 이루어져 發展된 구두 形態를 볼 수 있다. 1970年代에는 이태리를 中心으로 한 유럽패션을 맞이하였다. 1980年代에는 개인의 개성을 중시하는 디자인이 선보이고 있다. 이러한 內容을 바탕으로 우리 고유의 草·麻鞋을 응용하여 美的技果와 技術면에 근거를 둔 새로운 方法으로 우리 傳統의 계승 뿐만 아니라 그것을 實用化에 이용하려는 意圖에서 本 作品을 製作하였다.;Taking a history of straw and hemp into consideration, I have studied on boots and shoes using straw and hemp in this thesis, especially for moderniation. These boots and shoes of our country can be divided broadly into two categories such as Hemp-cord Sandals and shoes and there are, according to one's social position, ancient typical hemp-cord sandals, metal combined hemp-cord sandals, sweet hemp-cord sandals, cloud hemp-cord sandals, paper hemp-cord sandals and it can be classified into water boots, water hemp- cord sandals, water shoes, oil hemp-cord sandals, white hemp- cord sandals, white hemp-cord sandals, sacrificial hemp-cord sandals, old woman hemp-cord sandals, woolen shoes, and sleighing shoes according to use. Out of these things, the history of straw and hemp can be retroacted to the beginning stage of the human culture. These straw and hemp have been developed over and over again for a long time and it has its own distinction in quality so that these refined products were used by noblemen and these careless ones were used by the common people. These boots and shoes were introduced for the first time from the 1800's and we have accepted these trends fashions of Europe and that of the United States of America under the given social conditions of economical growth, stability of political situation and advance into other countries. Under the basis of these fashions, this work has been made under the intention to utilize these straw and hemp to our actual living enhancing its effect of beauty and, moreover, in accordance with a new method based upon the technical aspect.
