- Abstract
(P>.05).;The purpose of this study was to evaluate effects of isokinetic training on muscular strength improvement and it's optimal velocities.
18 female college students were randomely selected and divided into 3 groups consisting of 6people in each group ;
slow speed training group(60˚/ sec), fast speed trining group(180˚/ sec) and control.
Isokinetic training was given three days per week for six weeks by the use of CYBEX-Ⅱ.
The results of this study Were as follows ;
1. Slow speed training group(+ll.1% ) showed significant increased in peak torque of knee extension measured at 50˚/ sec but fast speed training group(+5.7%) and control group(-0.2%) were no significance.
2. Fast speed training group(+34.6%), slow speed training group(+19.6%) and control group(+4.8%) showed significant increased in peak torque of knee extension measured at 180˚/sec.
3. Fast speed training group(+21.5%) showed significant increased in peak torque of kee flexion measured at 60˚/ sec but slow speed training group (+ll.3%) and control group(+2.4%) were no significance.
4. Slow speed training group(+24.4%) and fast speed training group(+21.7%) showed significant increased in peak torque of knee flexion measured at 180˚/ sec but control group(+l3.6%) were no significance.
5. The increasing rate of peak torque showed singificant differences in knee extension measured at 60˚/sec and 180˚/sec.
There were no significent differences in knee flexion measured at 60˚/sec and 180˚/sec.
