Richard Strauss의 가곡 op.27에 대한 연구

Abstract

Richard Strauss(1864-1949) is a German romantic composer who composed one hundred fifty songs in his whole life. He contributed German lied for the romantic period. He was affected by lyrical and romantic elements of J.L.F. Mendelssohn and J. Brahms in the early period and also was and progressive elements of W.R. Wagner and F. Liszt in the influenced by dramatic later period of Strauss's life. His composition op. 27 which was published in 1894 was consisted of four songs that was set to the poems of Karl Henckell, Julius Hart, and John Henry Mackay. The purpose of this thesis is an analysis of four songs of op. 27. First of all, thesis attempts to examine Strauss's life and his major works, Then, thesis tries to discuss the I- background of his composition. Finally, thesis attempts to analyze poem, form, harmoney, melody, rhythm, and accompaniment. As a result, the analysis of this thesis was identified as showing of the end traditional music remarkably. The following aspects are supporting the result; variety of altered chords, complex and various modulation, Solution of altered altered chords or delaying techniques of solution of cadence, and chromatic and short phase with discontinued melody.;슈트라우스(R.Strauss : 1864~1949)는 19세기 말과 20세기 초에 활동한 독일 낭만주의 작곡가로 전생애를 통해 150여곡의 가곡을 작곡함으로써 낭만주의 시대 독일가곡의 위치를 확고히 정립하였다. 그는 초기에는 멘델스존(J.L.F. Mendelssohn)과 브라암스(J.Brahms)의 서정적이고 낭만적인 요소의 영향을 받았으며, 후기에는 바그너(W.R.Wagner)와 리스트(F. Liszt)의 극적이고 진보적인 요소의 영향을 받아 작품을 썼다. 그의 작품 op.27은 1894년 작곡된 초기가곡으로 헨켈(Karl Henckell), 하트(Julius Hart), 마카이(John Henry mackay)의 시에 곡을 붙여 작곡된 4개의 곡으로 이루어져 있다. 따라서, 본 논문은 op.27 4개의 가곡에 대한 연구분석을 목적으로, 먼저 문헌을 통해 슈트라우스의 생애와 주요작품의 특징을 연구하고 그다음 이 작품이 나오게 된 배경을 알아 보았다. 그 후 악곡분석을 통해 시, 형식 및 구조, 화성과 조성, 선율, 리듬, 피아노 반주 등을 연구함으로써 이작품에 나타난 특징을 고찰하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 전곡에는 다양한 변화화음과 복잡하고도 잦은 전조, 변화화음의 해결이나 종지의 해결을 지연시키는 기법, 반음계적이고 짧은 악구로 끊어지는 선율 등 전통음악의 말기적인 현상이 이 작품속에서 두드러지게 나타나고 있다.
