機能主義와 責證主義的 方法論에 根據한 機能主義的 組織理論 (Func-tionalist organization theory)은 오랜동안 組織硏究의 支配的 觀點이었다. 巨視的인 社會構造와 歷史的 脈絡을 通한 것이기 보다는 徵視的이며 主觀主義論 個人 中心의 機能主義論 組織理論은 組織을 目標蓮成을 爲한 道具로 把握하거나 徵視的인 組織內部의 配列 및 統制構造를 當然視하여 받아들임으로써 旣存의 組織理念이나 構造의 再生産 또는 體制維持에 寄與해 왔음을 認定하지 않을 수 없다. 따라서 이를 克服하기 위한 새로운 代案의 模索이 要請되고, 이에 本 論文에서는 그러한 대안적 可能性을 急進的 組織理論(Radical organization theory )에서 찾아보고자 한다. 新-베버주의(Neo-weberian)의 範疇에 속하는 急進的 構造主義 (Radical structuralism)의 認識論에 기초하고, 總休性 (Totality), 構造 (Structure) , 矛盾 (Contradiction)을 基礎槪念으로 하는 급진적 조직이론은 전통적 組織論議에 있어서의 經驗諦, 沒構造的, 徵視的 硏究傾向을 비판적으로 인식하여 巨視的이고 統合的인 組織理論을 구성코저 한다. 이러한 立場에서 組織은 더 이상 目標達成을 爲한 合理的이고 中立的인 道具가 아니다. 그것은 歷史的·構造的 脈絡과의 긴밀한 連系를 通해 行使되는 하나의 統制(control) 또는 支配의 道具로서 부각되어 진다. 이상의 急進的 組織理論의 관점을 통해 組織의 問題늘 그 각도를 달리하여 分析되어 질 것이다. 이와 함께 組織現象에 對한 보다 適實性있는 說明을 기할 수 있을 것이다. 이제 組織理論은 추상적인 組織體에 대한 理論이 아니고 現代社倉의 總體性 속에서 일정한 矛盾을 표출하면서 움직여가는 現實의 조직체에 관한 理論이 될 것이다. 이상의 急進的 組織理論에 대한 論議는 1975년경 부터 본격적으로 이루어졌다. 이와 같은 歷史的 日淺性은 확고한 理論으로의 定立에 제한을 가하는 것으로, 이에 앞으로 보다 많은 理論的 穿鑿이 이루어져야 할 것이다.;A functionalistic organization theory based upon functionalism and Positivistic methodology has been a dominant view-point for organization research for a long time. A functionalistic organization theory on the basis of putting emphasis on microscopic and subjectivstic individual rather than having been through macroscopic social structure and historical chorioid cannot help but recognize its contribution that has been rendered to an existing organization ideology or structural reproduction or the maintenance of a system through grasping its organization as an instrument to achieve goals or taking it for granted as the disposition of microscopic organization interior and restrictive structure. Thus, a groping for a new alternative plan is to be re-quired, and in this thesis it is intended to look for such an alternative possibility in the radical organization theory. The radical organization theory based upon the epistemology of radical structuralism belonging to the category of Neo-weberianism together with being fundmentally conceptualized by totality, structure and contradiction is intended to constitute a macroscopic integrated organization theory by critically realizing experiential, astructural and microscopic research tendency in traditional organization debate. From this standpoint, an organization is no longer a rational and neutral instrument to attain its goal. It is to be embossed as a control or a dominant instrument through getting in close touch with historical, structural veins. Through the view point of the above radical organization theory the organization problem should be analyzed as differing it from its angle coupled with this, a more relevant explanation for the organization phenomena may as well be anticipated. In this context, a theory can be constituted with the organization of moving reality by expressing a certain contradition within the aggregate of modern society, not a theory for an abstract organization. A Series of discussion on the above organization theory have been brought about on a full scale since approximately 1975. Therefore, it appear to be imperative that a more theoretical study should be further implemented as such a feature in short of historical aspect would impact upon constituting its stand as a solid and firm theory in this particular regard.
