S. Prokofiev의 피아노 소나타 Op.135에 관한 연구

Abstract

Sergei Sergevich Prokofiev (1891-1953), who was born in Russia was one of the greatest composers in the 20th century. A prominent pianist as he was, his piano compositions displays a great deal of his personal characteristics. Having been composed across his whole lifetime, his nine piano sonatas, especially, exhibites his finest keyboard writing. In this thesis, all of his piano sonatas are briefly studied and then his 5th sonata Op. 135 is studied in detail. This work was the only piano sonata he had written while living abroad and was originally published as Op. 38. The revised version was published later in his life and it is desgnated as Op. 135. Since this version is more widely performed it was used for this thesis. The 5th sonata is similar to the classical three-movement sonatas in its musical form, tempo. and tonality. Added to this is his innovational use of sudden modulations, bitonality, seventh chords, ninth chords, dissonant effects and frequent changes in the beat which brings out his progressiveness and conservation in appropriate harmony. From the study of the piano sonata Op. 135, which reveals his composition concepts, the contribution of Prokofiev's music to the 20th century music can be reconfirmed.;Sergei Prokofiev(1891~1953)는 러시아 태생인 위대한 작곡가이며, 20세기의 대표적인 작곡가 중의 한 사람이었다. Prokofiev 자신이 뛰어난 피아니스트 였던 만큼 피아노 작품에서 그의 독특한 개성이 잘 나타나는데, 특히 그의 생애 전반에 걸쳐 쓰여진 9개의 피아노 소나타는 Prokofiev의 훌륭한 건반악기 작법이 가장 잘 드러난다. 본 논문에서는 Prokofiev의 피아노 소나타에 관해 살펴본 후 Sonata 제 5번 Op. 135를 분석·연구하였다. 이 작품은 그의 생애 중에서 외국생활 중에 작곡된 유일한 피아노 소나타로서, 원래 Op. 38로 나왔으나 Prokofiev가 만년에 개정을 보아 Op. 135로 발표한 곡이다. 현재는 개정판을 많이 사용하기 때문에 개정판인 Op. 135를 중심으로 다루었다. 전 곡은 각 악장의 형식분포, 빠르기 및 조성의 면에서 고전주의의 3악장 양식의 소나타와 비슷하며 이러한 고전주의적인 면과 함께 갑작스런 전조, 복조적 구성, 7화음·9화음·부가음이 포함된 불협화적 진행과 다양한 리듬 변화, 잦은 박자바뀜은 혁신적인 면으로서, 결국 이 작품은 Prokofiev의 진취성과 보수성이 적절히 조화를 이루고 있었다. 이상과 같이 Prokofiev의 창작 이념이 잘 드러난 피아노 소나타 Op. 135를 연구함으로서, 20세기 음악에 크게 공헌한 Prokofiev의 음악의 위치를 재확인하게 되었다.
