Abstract
The usually stable body temperature of homeothermic animals can be affected by innumerable biological and physical agents. Neurotransmitters, neuromodulators, synthetic druge and electrolytes will cause and elevation or depression in body temperature depending on the dose, species and route of administration. The mechanism of action of such compounds on body temperature is nof fully understood and being studied. The effects of norepinephrine (0.15ug/kg), clonidine (0.15mg/kg), hydralazine (lmg/kg), calcium gluconate (12.5mEq/30ml) nifedipine (1mg/kg) and verapamil (5mg/kg) on rectal temperature in Sprague-Dawley rats were assessed 15,30 and 45 min. after intraperitional or oral injection of drugs. 1. In norepinephrine group, ther was slightly increase in rectal temperature of rats compared with control group. However there was no significant changes between two groups. 2. Rectal temperature of rats was slightly increased in clonidine group compared with control group. However, there was no significant changes between two groups. 3. In hydralazine group, there was highly significant decrease in rectal temperature of rats compared with control group. 4. In calcium gluconate group, there was no significant differences in changes of rectal temperature between calcium gluconate and control group. 5. Rectal temperature of rats was significantly increase in nifedipine group compared with calcium gluconate group. However, there was no significant differences in changes of rectal temperature between nifedipine and control group. 6. Rectal temperature of rats was significantly increase in verapamil group compared with calcium gluconate group. However there was no significant changes in other groups.;체온은 여러가지 요인들에 의하여 변화될 수 있으며 특히 혈관계에 작용하는 약물등에 의해 변화될 수 있으나 그 기전은 아직 확실히 밝혀지지 않았다. 임상에서 흔히 사용하는 고혈압 치료제로 요사이 칼슘통로 차단제, 혈관 확장제, 알파수용체 차단제등이 있으며 이들은 말초혈관을 확장시킴으로서 고혈압을 치료할목적으로 사용되고 있다. 심부체온(core temperature)은 말초혈관의 확장에 따른 체온저하에 예민하게 반응하며 1967년 Jori등은 쥐에 norepinephrine을 정맥투여시 심부체온이 상승됨을 관찰한바 말초혈관의 수축 및 확장이 심부체온에 커다란 영향을 미치는 것으로 생각되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 말초혈관을 확장시킴으로서 고혈압을 치료하는 약물인 clonidine, hydralazine, nifedipine 및 verapamil과 말초혈관을 수축시키는 norepinephrine과 칼슘제제인 calcium gluconate를 흰쥐에 투여하여 다음과 같은 효과를 얻었다. 1. Norepinephrine 투여군은 대조군에 비해 직장온도가 시간이 경과함에 따라 약간 상승하였으나 통계학적 의의는 없었다. 2. Clonidine 투여군은 대조군에 비해 직장온도가 약간 상승하였으나 통계학적 의의는 없었으며 45분뒤에는 거의 비슷한 치를 나타내었다. 3. Hydralazine 투여군은 대조군에 비해 현저히 직장온도가 하강하였다. 4. Calcium gluconate 투여군은 직장온도가 대조군에 비해 차이가 없었다. 5. Nifedipine 투여군은 대조군에 비해 차이는 없었으나 calcium gluconate 투여군에 비해 직장온도가 현저히 상승하였다. 6. Verapamil 투여군은 대조군에 비해 차이는 없었으나 calcium gluconate 투여군에 비해 직장온도가 현저히 상승하였다.
