Jean-Philippe Rameau의 clavecin음악에 관한 연구

Abstract

Jean-Philippe Rameau (1687~1764)는 18세기 전반 불란서의 대표적인 작곡가의 한 사람이었다. 그는 화성에 관한 논서나 극음악으로 명성을 얻었으며 또한 많은 신선하고 독창적인 clavecin작품도 남겼다. 이 논문에서 연구하고자 하는 세 권의 clavecin작품집은 1706년에서 1731년 사이에 Paris에서 출판되었다. 이들은 같은 으뜸음조로 묶여 있는 7~10개의 작품들을 모은 것으로 하나의 작품집은 1~2개의 모음곡으로 이루어져 있으며 대부분이 묘사적 제목을 가진 genre piece로 되어 있다. Rameau의 clavecin작품들은 대부분 2부분 형식이나 론도 형식이며 다성 음악 같은(pseudo-polyphonic) 구성으로 되어 있다. 그리고 활발한 리듬과 다양한 선율, 계류음이나 전타음등의 비화성음과 감7화음을 사용하였다. 또한 Rameau는 clavecin을 지속적인 음향을 가진 악기 (sustaining instrument)로 여겨서 lavecin이 지닌 음향적 한계에서 벗어나려고 노력하였다. 이와 같은 음악 어법을 사용한 Rameau는 불란서의 clavecin음악의 전통을 이어나가는 한편 자신의 독자적인 영역을 확보할 수 있었던 위대한 작곡가였다.;Jean-Philippe Rameau (1687-1764) was one of the representative French composers in the first half of the eighteenth century. He composed many original pieces for the clavecin, and wrote dramatic works and treatises on harmony as well. Rameau's three collections for the clavecin were published in Paris from 1706 to 1731. Each collection has 1 or 2 groups. Each group contains 7 to 10 pieces. The pieces of each group are in parallel keys. And the majority of these pieces are genre pieces with descriptive titles. Rameau's works for the clavecin, with one exception, are either in binary or in rondo forms, and they are pseudo-poly- phonic texture. Rameau used vivacious rhythms and various melodies, nonharmonic tones such a s suspensions, appoggiaturas, and diminished 7th chords. And he considered the clavecin as a sustaining instrument, so he endeavoured t o surpass the acoustic limitations of the clavecin.
