주거공간내 벽화에 관한 연구

Abstract

인간이란 누구나 행복한 삶을 누리기 위한 환경을 요구하게 된다. 인간의 가장 기본적인 주거환경은 인간존재에 대한 연구를 통해 진정으로 행복한 생활조건을 마련할 수 있다.20세기의 단조로운 실내와 복잡한 도시생활에 지친 인간에게 편리하고 쾌적한 실내공간은 절실히 요구되고 있다. 현재 도시의 벽이나 공공건물에 소수의 벽화가 사용되어져 시각적으로나 심리적으로 쾌적한 공간감을 형성해 주고 있다. 그러한 시도는 도시환경이나 주거환경이 스케일의 차이일뿐, 인간 환경이라는 면에서 보면 다같이 필요하다. 그러나 우리나라는 그러한 유용한 벽화의 인식부족으로 아직 과감히 사용되고 있지가 않다. 현대의 지루하고 단조로운 실내벽면에서 벽화를 기대하고 있는 대중에게 벽화는 기능적, 미학적 면은 물론 심리적인 문제의 해결이나 독자적인 개성표현에 이르기까지 그 기대를 충족시켜 줄 수가 있다. 본 논문에서는 그러한 벽화를 사용하여 주거공간에 참다운 의미의 생활공간, 즉 문화공간을 형성하고자 하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 그를 위한 연구과정은 다음과 같다. 제Ⅱ장에서 벽화디자인의 일반적 경향을 살펴보고 그러한 벽화디자인에 필요한 구성요소를 살펴보았다. 그 요소로는 표현 재료, 표현 형태, 색채 가 있는데 연구내용은 다음과 같다. 1. 표현재료는 그 배경이 되는 표면재료에 따라 처리방법이 달라지므로, 표면재료의 특성을 살펴본 후 거기에 알맞는 도료의 성질을 알아 보았다. 2. 벽화의 표현형태로서 사실적 표현, 기하학적 표현, 착시적 표현의 효과에 대해 알아보았다. 3 벽화의 색채가 인간심리에 미치는 영향으로 색의 삼속성과 성질에 대해 분류해 보았다. 제Ⅲ장에서는 벽화가 주거공간의 인간에게 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 아래와 같다. 1. 벽화사용으로 미적조형으로 처리된 실내는 사람이 사람다울 수 있는 원형을 찾게 되는 바탕이다. 2. 벽화의 형태와 색채는 주거인에게 유쾌한 연상을 갖게 하여, 공간의 공포를 제거하고, 심리적인 안정감을 주어 정서함양과 욕구불만을 해소시켜 줄 수 있다. 3. 이미 "J.Freud"나 "J.Piaget" 등 여러학자들이 유아의 경험환경의 중요성을 주장하였다. 어릴때부터 다양한 색채와 형태, 인간생활의 철학적, 심리적. 육체적인 면에서의 생활의 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 예술환경에서 아름답고, 편리하고, 인간적인 생활을 한다면 인간사고의 발달에도 커다란 도움을 줄 수 있고, 문화적인 차원에서도 질 높은 환경을 조성 할 수 있다고 본다. 4. 실내벽화는 그 사용방법에 따라 유기적인 공간감을 형성해 준다. 때로는 그 구조적인 성격을 변화시켜 새로운 시각적공간을 창출해 준다. 제Ⅳ장에서는 실제벽화 사용여부와 주거공간에 대한 기대등을 알아보기 위해 우리나라 서울의 중상류이상의 대상자를 중심으로 설문조사를 하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 대상자의 91.8%가 아늑하고 개성적인 공간을 희망하고 있다. 2. 현재 대상자의 98.0%가 주거벽면에 그림(액자)을 걸어놓고 있다 3. 벽화의 인식은 61.2%가 긍정적이었고, 현주거의 벽면색에 만족하는 사람은 21.4％뿐이었다. 또한 허옇고 단조로운 벽면에 칼라나 패턴을 넣어도 좋다는 대상자가 67.3％나 되었다. 4. 그러한 벽면의 색채나 그림이 인간에게 영향을 미친다고 인식하는 대상자가 86.7%로 많은 사람이 공간의 변화를 요구하고 있다. 그러나 풍요로운 공간에서의 경험부족과 번거로움, 처리방법. 혹은 경비문제로 미비한 환경속에 그냥 적응해 나가고 있었다. 이상과 같은 조사결과 현 주거환경의 과감한 디자인적 변화가 시급함을 느낄수 있다. 이러한 변화는 주공간의 인간에 대한 연구로 심층심리까지 파헤쳐 인간의 다양한 욕구를 충족시켜 줄 수 있어야 한다. 제V장에서는 아파트 주공간의 거실과 아동실 벽면을 적용대상으로 하여 작품을 제시하였다. 작품의 계획은 Ⅱ장, Ⅲ장, Ⅳ장에서 분석 고찰한 내용을 활용하여 적용 계획함으로써 본 논문의 주제를 표현한 것이다. 이상에서 연구되어진 내용을 통하여 Ⅵ장에서는 본 논문의 결론으로 실내공간에서 벽화적용의 영향과 특성에 관해 요약하였다. 실내공간에서 벽화적용은 심미적. 심리적 효과 및 문화적 영향, 공간성격의 변화를 가져올 수 있다. 이상에서 벽화적용의 특성은 1. 재개발적 요소로 새로운 환경을 손쉽게 제공할 수 있다. 2. 벽면의 속성을 변화시킴으로 시각적으로 새로운 이미지를 형성한다. 3 다른 시각예술 표현방법에 비해 소재표현이 자유롭고 선명한 색채감 부여 및 시각이미지 전달 등을 효과적으로 할 수 있다. 4. 실내공간의 성격과 합치됨으로써 목적성에 충실할 수 있다. 적절한 벽화의 사용은 그러한 인간의 욕구를 충족시켜 주기에 알맞으며, 손쉽고 재개발이 가능한 소재로써 그 효과도 다른 소재에 비해 매우 크다. 그러한 페인팅에 의한 벽화뿐 아니라 색과 패턴이 있는 벽지나 타일, 천등 다양한 소재와 다양한 색채, 형태등의 활발한 연구가 계속되어져야하며 이러한 연구과정에 본 연구가 조금이나마 보탬이 되었으면 한다.;All of Human-Beings want to live a happy life within a favorable environment. Residential environment which is the basic condition of Human life can be developed through the study of Human-Beings. As tired of monotonous living-space and complex urban day-life, modern man eager for more comfortable and convenient interior space. Nowadays, the pictures drawn on the wall of private and public buildings evoke fresh feelings psychologically and aesthetically. In spite of the difference of scales, these trials are needed not only in urban, social environment but also in residential environment. But in our country, such useful mural-paintings are not yet popular, because of the lack of understanding their men'ts. Muralpaintings can give satisfactions to those who want the dynamic changes of monotonous wall for the better, covering all the areas from functional and aesthetical aspects to individual aspects of personalities. This thesis is focused on forming a comfortable living-space and cultural space in ordinary residential space by using the muralpaintings. The following is the process of study; In chapter Ⅱ. The history of using muralpaintings and the composing elements were studied, which are needed in the design of muralpainting. And these elements include expressing materials, from of express and colours. The content of each element is as follows; 1) Because the method to treat expressing materials must be changed according to the superficial materials of wall for background, the nature of paint is determined by that of superficial material. 2) The forms of express were investigated, which include realistic, geographic and illusory expressions. 3) Three attributes and the properties of colour were classified, as the effect of colour that influences on human's psychology. In chapter Ⅲ. The influence of muralpainting on the mind of human in residential space was as follows; 1) The interior of a room that is reformed with aesthetical treatment using muralpaintings is the fundamental ground for human to be what he is. 2) Through giving delightful association of ideas, removing the space-phobias and forming psychological safety-feelings, the forms and colours of muralpaintings can cultivate emotions and get rid of boredom. 3) Such psychologists as "J. Freud" and "J. Piaget" have argued the importance of infant's empirical environment. According to their theories, if a man could live a beautiful, comfortable and humanistic life surrounded by an artistic environment which is consisted of diverse colours and forms to promote the quality of human life in the philosophical, psychological and physical aspects, his ability of thinking could be developed outstandingly and the environment could be also improved in cultural dimension. 4) The organic space-feelings depend upon the ways of using muralpatings, and new and fresh visionary space can be constructed by changing the structural characteristics. In chapter Ⅳ. A questionnaire-study was performed to middle-high class of inhabitants in Seoul, in order to examine the expectancy about residential space, and actual uses of muralpaintings. The results of this investigation are as follows; 1) 91.8% of the subjects hope to have an individual and Snug living space. 2) At present, 98.0% of them have hung pictures on the wall. 3) As for the favour of muralpaintings, 61.2% of the subjects have positive attitude and just only 21.4% of them are satisfied with their present colour of wall paint. Also, 67.3% of the subjects want to change the colours and patternts of their wall from the present monotonous and simple ones. 4) 86.7% of the subjects considered the living-space as important condition of human, because it's colour and picture can effect on human's psychology. And quite a few of them feel keenly the significance of living space. But because they are in lack of experience in abundant living-environments, the changing method is too complex and trouble some and the cost of change is too expensive, they have inevitably adjusted themselves to the deficient residential environment. According to the statisfical data of this study, it is needed to make resolute and immediate improvement of design from the present residential environment. And these trials of change must satisfy various desires of men with enthusiastic study that sheds light on deep-psychology of man. In chapter Ⅴ. Presentate with a work of application object on the wall of living room and children room in the Apartment. As far as the muralpaintings are concerned, adequate use of them can satisfy human's desires and to reform. Besides, the effect of them is considerable greater them any other materials. In addition to this study of muralpaintings, it is also required to investigate other materials as wallpapers, tiles and clothes with various colors and patterns.
