5,6세 유아의 감정이입과 이태행동간의 관계

Abstract

본 연구는 5·6세 유아를 대상으로 감정이입과 이타행동 간의 관계를 밝히고 감정이입의 정도가 성별에 따라 어떤 차이가 나타나는지를 알아보고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이런 목적을 위하여 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 감정이입에 있어서 남아와 여아간에 차이가 있는가? 2. 감정이입에 있어서 환경의 친숙·비친숙에 따라 차이가 있는가? 3. 감정이입에 있어서 언어적인 반응과 비언어적인 반응간에 차이가 있는가? 4. 유아의 감정이입과 이타행동 간에는 상관관계가 있는가? 이상의 문제를 해결하기 위해 서울 시내에 소재한 유치원에 다니는 5·6세 유아 72명을 대상으로 다음과 같은 검사를 실시하였다. Feshbach와 Roe가 사용했던 AST(Affective Situation Test)를 수정하여 제작한 4개의 이야기를 감정이입 검사도구로 사용하였으며, 다섯가지 상황을 제시한 사태검사로써 이타행동을 측정하였다. 검사결과 수집된 자료에 대하여 감정이입의 정도에 있어서의 차이를 알아보기 위한 방법으로 t검증을 실시하였으며, 유아의 감정이입과 이타행동 간의 상관관계를 알기 위해 Pearson의 적률상관계수 'γ'을 산출하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 감정이입에 있어서 남아와 여아간에 의의있는 차이가 없었다. 2. 감정이입에 있어서 친숙한 환경에서 측정된 유아가 친숙하지 못한 환경에서 측정된 유아보다 훨씬 높은 점수를 보였다. 3. 감정이입에 있어서 비언어적인 반응이 언어적인 반응에 비해 높게 나타났다. 4. 유아의 감정이입과 이타행동 간에는 정적인 상관관계를 나타냈다.;The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between empathy and altruistic behavior in 5-and 6-year olds and to investigate the difference in empathy by sex. The following specific problems were addressed: 1. Is there any difference in empathy between boys and girls? 2. Is there any difference in empathy depending on familiar/unfamiliar environment? 3. Is there any difference in empathy between verbal and nonverbal responding? 4. Is there any difference between a child's empathy and altruistic behavior? The subject of the experiment were 72 5- and 6-year old children attending kindergarten in Seoul. The tool used for empathy measure consisted of four stories, modified from Feshbach and Roe Affective Situation Test (AST) , and the altruistic behavior was measured with five situation tests. The t-test was performed on data from the experiment to see the difference in empathy level and Pearson's correlation coefficient 'r' was calculated to find the relationship between child's empathy and altruistic behavior. The results of the experiment are as follows : 1. There was no significant difference in empathy between boys and girls. 2. The children measured in familiar environment scored significantly higher in empathy than those measured in unfamiliar environment 3. The nonverbal responding scored higher in empathy compared to the verbal responding. 4. There is a significant relationship between a child's empathy and altruistic behavior.
