통계응용을 위한 관계 DBMS의 확장

Abstract

본 논문에서는 통계 자료의 분석에 대한 연구를 지원하기 위한 기존 관계 DBMS에 통계 연산을 추가 확장시키는 방법을 제안하였으며 그의 효율적인 저장공간과 접근을 위하여 메타 데이터(metadata)를 설계하였다. 기존의 DBMS의 확장은 시간개념을 내포하여 통계 연산을 위한 질의에 대해 데이타 베이스를 처리할 수 있도록 한다. 그를 위하여 데이타 모델로는 historical 데이타 모델을 기초로 하였다.;This thesis proposes a technique to extend a conventional relation data base management system (DBMS) to support the analysis of statistical data. The system also contains metadata which is designed for the efficient storage and access. The extension of an existing DBMS enables us to retrieve the database f o r queries that including statistical operations with time concept. The historical data model is used as the data model.
