호남 우도 농악에 관한 고찰

Abstract

이 논문은 호남 우도농악 중에서 법고춤을 중심으로 무용학적 접근을 시도한 것이다. 농악은 상고시대부터 우리 민족의 종교의식, 노동, 향토오락 행진등에 쓰여서 우리 민족의 생활과 밀접한 관계를 맺고 발전 되었음을 농악의 전승과정을 통해 알 수 있다. 즉, 마을을 위하여 치는 당산굿, 집안을 위한 지신밟기, 걸립이나 걸궁등의 모금을 위한 걸립굿 마을인 전체가 즐기며 놀 수 있는 판굿, 김매기등의 노동을 위한 두레굿이 바로 그것이다. 이러한 농악 중에서 법고춤을 연구하는 것은 민속춤의 한 특성을 밝혀 보는데 있어서 중요한 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다. 이 논문의 연구 방법은 농악 일반의 전승과정 및 계보를 살펴보고 이어서 호남 우도농악의 진행 절차 및 구성, 장단 및 악기 등에 관하여 기존 연구를 정리하고 황재기씨를 통하여 무보 작성과 함께 법고춤을 종합적으로 정리하고 他 지방의 법고춤과 함께 비교연구를 한다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 얻어진 결론은 경기 농악, 호남 농악, 영남농악, 강원 농악등에서 볼 수 있는 법고춤은 주로 채상 법고로 채상 놀리는 기예적인 면이 발달하였기에 다양한 춤사위는 볼 수 없었으며 좌도 법고춤과는 사모잽이 벌려 겹치기, 앉은 사위와 같이 매우 비슷한 동작들이 있었다. 그러나 좌도법고춤 역시 고깔 법고춤보다는 채상법고춤이 더욱 발달 되어 있는 지역이었기 때문에 그 영향이 우도 법고춤에 까지 영향을 주어 우도 법고춤이 점차 채상돌림으로 변질 되고 있는 실정이었다. 그러므로 이에 관한 전통의 원형적 접근이란 점에서 법고춤에 관한 연구는 시급한바 있는 것이라 하겠다.;This study was attempted to approach Honam Udo Farmer's Dance from the standpoint of the science of music focusing on Bopgo Dance. The farmer's music has been developed in such variations as Moon Gut, Jisinbalpki, Pan Gut, Golip Gut, and Dure Gut with Dangsan Gut, a controlling form, as the starting point, and it can be said that Pan Gut in which the arts of farmer's folk dance troupe are shown best represents the farmer's music. The farmer's music is commonly classified into Kyonggi Farmer's Music, Honam Farmer's Music, Yongnam Farmer's Music, and Kangwon Farmer's Music, and I selected Honam Udo Farmer's Music out of the existing farmer's music, and Bopgo Dance in which chumsawi(beguilement of dance) has been comparatively developed compared to other districts was made the subject of the study. With regard to the methods of study, I took a look at the proecess of succession of the farmer's dance general, examined the proceeding procedure of Honam Udo Farmer's Dance and the three natures, rythm, and musical instruments thereof, and considered the characteristics that Udo Bopgo Dance has through comparison of Udo Bopgo Dance and those of other provinces. The Chumsawi that Udo Bopgo Dance has include Mulpugi, Samojaebi, Juauchigi, Bolyogyopchigi, Jigyebuk, Anjunsawi, Nabisang, Maejumsawi, Otbalbaegi, Gasaechigi, etc. and, as results of comparison to Juado Bopgo Dance, I found that there was a similarity in Chumsawi such as Mulpugi, Bolyogyopchigi, Sogo (small drum) Apduitmyonchigi, and Bolyogyopchigi. As results of comparison to Bopgo Dance of other districts, the arts of Chaesang play rather than Chumsawi utilizing Bopgo was found to have been developed, while Juado and Udo Gokal Bopgo Dances was found to have developed colorful and stylish Chumsawi utilizing Bopgo. However, it was found out that Juado Bopgo Dance also showed active Chaesang play, affecting even Udo Bopgo Dance. Therefore, it is believed that further study on Bopgo Dance is very urgent in the repect of traditional prototype approach in this.
