Abstract

This thesis is to define the production date of Rock-Carv-ing, placed in Chun-Jun Ri Doo-Dong Myun Ul-Chu Gun of South Kyung-Sang Province. It is situated in lat. 35˚30' - 35˚45'N., and long. 129˚00' - 129˚15'E. The definition of date production will be an attempt to find out the lifestyle and the degree of culture in the prehistory age. The method of this study is: to interpret the shapes and images embodied in Rock-Carving', and to define the context of production date centering around the technique and the parts expressed in piles. This thesis consists of five chapters. The second chapter deals with the cultural background of Chun-Jun Ri Rock-Carving. The third chapter discusses and interprets the several shapes in Rock-Carving, the techniques revealed in it. The fourth chapter according to the previous chapters, shows the nature of Chun-Jun Ri Rock-Carving. Throughout studies, I concluded as followings: first, the date of Chun-Jun Ri Rock-Carving is out of the Paleolithic Age and toward the Silla Dynasty. Second, the society, produced the Chun-Jun Ri Rock-Carving depended upon agriculture. Third, the society practiced the religious rituals and thus, there were the social groups responsible for practicing it. Addition to these, the society seemed to have a religious belief in bird, which was a common belief in the northeast Asia and related with the agricultural society.;본고는 북위 35°30'∼35°45', 동경 129°00'∼129°15'사이에 위치하는 천전리 암각화의 제작 시기를 규명하고자 함에 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 것은 그것이 이루어진 시기의 문화 정도로 밝히는 것이 된다. 본고의 연구 방법은 두 가지이다. 그 첫번째의 방법은 암각화에 표현된 형상들에 대한 해석이다. 두 번째의 방법은 형상들의 제작수법에 대한 고찰이다. 본고는 모두 다섯 개의 장으로 이루어져 있다. 제 Ⅱ장에서는 천전리 암각화가 위치하는 지역의 문화적인 배정을 다룬다. 제 Ⅲ장에서는 천전리 암각화가 제작된 시기에 대한 문제를 다루었다. 제 Ⅳ장에서는 Ⅱ·Ⅲ장의 서술을 바탕으로 천전리 암각화의 성격을 다루었다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 천전리 암각화가 제작된 시기의 상한 연대는 신석기시대까지 이르고 그 하한 연대는 신라시대까지 이른다. 둘째, 천전리 암각화가 제작된 사회의 경제 상태는 농경을 위주로 하였으며 일부 漁撈를 행하였던 것으로 보인다. 셋째, 천전리 암각화가 제작되던 사회는 신앙 의식을 지니고 있었다. 그리하여, 이 사회에는 제의를 담당한 특수한 계층이 있었던 것으로 보인다. 또한 이 사회에는 새에 대한 믿음도 있었던 것으로 보이는데 이것은 당시의 경제 체제였던 농경 문화와 관련이 있는 것으로 보인다.
