나비의 조형적 재구성

Abstract

Even though man lives in the time of modern science and technology, man exsits in the nature providence and man himself is a part of nature at last. So his life is also affected by the natural circumstances and the sense of beauty in the nature. The method of expressing the nature is different according to the each artist's viewpoint and each artist recreate the nature definitely through his own imagination. The purpose of this thesis is to find the possibility of dyeing method with animation, mysterious modeling in the process of reconstructing creation with the objects of butterfly as an element of nature. For this purpose, theoretical study has given to nature and art the expression of nature, transformation of object, observation of nature, living mode of butterfly, and lastly transformation of butterfly. As a result of making six real works of art on its ground, the following conclusions have been found. First, the man's will in modeling means that it should express the world of self-consciousness, through the creative nature in order to show his subjective feeling of impression rather than just to show the object's appearance as it is. Second, in the process of making, works of art, the Batik technique using 'Paraffin' was taken, and the intended image was sketched by sprinkling 'Paraffin', touching with a brunsh. As a result, it was found that it is possible to describe the animated feeling according to artist's new will of modeling. Third, by further studying on dye and fiber and characters of materials, etc......, more vaious experssions might be possible. As a result of analysis of completed works following problems were discovered. First, the work described with lines has a difficulty in making an additional paper at the finishing process. So the crooked line made by that process results in the bad image in that work. Second, a good dyeing effect was not obtained much by paralleling technique of scattering big salt before dye is drying and technique of scattering 'Parattin'. Third, but in color combination the deeper the density it is more possible to describe with technique of scattering salt and in the blue color it is also more possible. In the future it is hoped that endless dyeing skills will be achieved in modeling expression by developing the method of expression with dyeing materials and continuous study is required more and more in order to solve the problems showed in this working process.;자연의 섭리 안에 존재하는 인간은 아무리 첨단 과학 기술시대에 살고 있다 하더라도 인간 자신이 자연의 일부이기 때문에 그 삶 역시 자연적 환경조건의 영향을 받으며 자연에서 느낀 미의식 역시 이러한 환경의 영향을 받게 된다. 자연의 표현은 자연을 대하는 예술가 개개인의 시각에 따라 다르게 받아들여 지고 예술가의 상상력을 통하여 자연을 조형적으로 구체화시킴으로써 새롭게 창조된다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 자연의 요소인 나비를 소재로 선택하여 창조하고 재구성하는 과정에서 생명력과 신비성의 조형화가 이루어지도록 염색방법에서의 가능성을 모색하는데 있다. 이와같은 목적을 위한 작품제작에 앞서 자연과 예술, 자연의 표현대상의 변형, 자연의 관찰, 나비의 생태, 나비의 변형에 대한 이론을 연구 고찰하고 이를 바탕으로 6점의 실제 작품을 제작함으로써 다음과 같은 결론에 도달하였다. 첫째, 인간의 조형의지는 자아의식 세계의 표현 방법에 대한 것으로, 대상의 외관을 그대로 묘사하기 보다는 주관적인 감동을 창조적 자연을 통하여 표현하고 있다. 둘째, 작품제작 과정에서는 파라핀을 이용한 방염법으로써 파라핀 뿌리기와 붓터치로 자신이 의도하는 형태의 표현을 시도하였으며 그 결과 새로운 조형의지에 대한 대상의 감각적인 생동감의 표현이 가능함을 체험할 수 있었다. 셋째, 염색작품에서도 염료와 섬유, 그 밖에 재료의 특성을 정확하게 연구함으로써 다양한 대상의 표현이 가능함을 알 수 있었으며, 제작된 작품을 분석하여 본 결과 다음과 같은 문제점을 발견 할 수 있었다. 첫째, 직선으로 표현된 작품은 배접하기에 매우 까다로움이 있었다. 그로 인해 비뚤어진 선은 작품의 이미지 손상을 가져오게 된다. 둘째, 염료가 마르기 전에 굵은 소금을 뿌려 우연한 얼룩이 생기도록 하는 기법은, 파라핀 뿌리기와 병행하였을 때 큰 효과를 거둘 수 없었다. 그러나, 물감의 농도가 짙을수록, 또는 청색 계통일수록 이 기법의 표현이 가능하다는 사실을 알게 되었다. 앞으로 계속적인 연구를 통하여 작품제작 과정에서 나타난 문제점을 해결하도록 하고, 염색 재료가 지니고 있는 표현 연구로 무한한 염색의 조형적 표현이 가능하리라 본다.
