유아의 구두어휘 능력과 친구간의 인기도의 관계에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 아동의 친구관계에 영향을 주는 요인 및 아동의 언어발달에 관한 이론을 문헌을 통해 살펴보고, 우리나라의 현행 유치원 상황에서의 유아의 구두어휘 능력과 친구간의 인기도에 관한 상관관계를 분석함으로써 이론에 대한 실증적인 자료를 제시하여 이 이론을 검증하고자 한다. 연구 방법은 문헌분석과 문헌에 나타난 이론을 검증하기 위하여 실증적인 자료를 조사·분석하였다. 조사연구의 대상으로 서울시내에 위치한 중류층의 유치원(이하 "D" 유치원이라 칭한다)과 저소득층의 새마을 유아원(이하 "C"새마을 유아원이라 칭한다)에 다니는 4년 5개월부터 5년 5개월까지의 남녀아동 80명을 선정하였으며, 이들에게 개인면접을 실시하였다. 구두어휘 능력을 조사하기 위해서는 권 경안(한국교육개발원, 1981)의 사용어휘검사 도구를 사용하였으며, 인기도 검사는 각 아동이 생일잔치에 초대하고 싶은 친구를 3명씩 선정하도록 하였다. 구두어휘 능력과 친구간의 인기도에 관한 상관계수를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 전체적으로 구두어휘 능력과 친구간의 인기도의 관계는 정적 상관관계를 보였으나 통계적으로 유의 하지는 않았다(r= .58, NS). 2. 중류층에 있어서 남아의 경우나 여아의 경우, 그리고 남녀아동을 합한 전체의 경우에 모두 정적 상관관계를 보였으나 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았다(순서대로 r= .58,NS ; r= .60,NS ; r= .57,NS). 3. 저소득층에 있어서 남아의 경우나 여아의 경우, 그리고 남녀아동을 합한 전체의 경우에 모두 정적 상관관계를 보였으며, 여아의 경우와 남녀아동을 합한 전체 경우의 상관계수는 통계적으로 유의했다(r= .55, NS; r= .67,p＜ .05; r= .61, p＜ .05). 4. 남아의 경우, 중류층에서나 저소득층, 그리고 중류층과 저소득층을 합한 전체의 경우에 모두 정적 상관관계를 보였으나 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았다 (r= .58, NS ; r= .55, NS ; r = .51, NS). 5. 여야의 경우, 중류층에서나 저소득층, 그리고 중류층과 저소득층을 합한 전체의 경우에 모두 정적 상관관계를 보였으며, 저소득층 및 중류층과 저소득층을 합한 전체 경우의 상관계수는 통계적으로 유의했다(r= .60, NS; r= .67, p＜ .05; r= .64, p＜ .05).;This Study is to examine the correlation between oral vocabulary competence and popularity among friends through literature research on factors relating to children's friendships and language development and to verify some actual data collected from the preschool children in Seoul. The survey was conducted to 80 preschool children aged from 4:5 to 5:5 at middle class D Kindergarten and lower working class C Saemaul Day Nursery both in Seoul. In testing the oral vocabulary competence, Kwon Kyung An's oral vocabulary test was utilized. In order to test the popularity each child was requested to nominate three different friends to his/her birthday party. An analysis of the above survey testing the oral vocabulary competence and popularity among friends is as follows: 1. The correlation between the oral vocabulary competence and popularity of the girls at C Saemaul Day Nursery was found positively related (□ = .67, □ < .05). 2. The correlation between the oral vocabulary compentence and popularity of both of boys and girls at C Saemaul Day Nursery was found positively related (□ = .61, □ < .05). 3. The correlation between the oral vocabulary compentence and popularity of the girls both at D Kindergarten and C Saemaul Day Nursery was found positively related (□ = .64, □ < .05).
