아동 중기의 애착 안정성과 자기상(Self-image)이 우울성향에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구에서는 애착안정성과 자기상이 우울에 미치는 영향을 살펴 보았는데, 특히 애착안정성과 우울의 관계에서 자기상이 매개효과를 갖는지를 검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년 아동 339명을 대상으로 질문지를 통해 자료가 수집되었다. 애착의 안정성과 자기상, 우울성향을 측정하기 위해 Kerns와 그의 동료들(1996)이 개발한 애착안정성척도(The Security Scale), Petersen 등(1984)이 제작한 청소년용 자기상 검사(Self-Image Questionnaire for Young Adolescence:SIQYA), Noh 등이 제작한 개정된 한국어판 역학연구-우울척도(Revised Korean Version of the Center for Epidemiologic-Depression Scale: Revised CES-D-K)를 각각 사용하였다. 결과분석에 앞서 새로이 번안된 애착 안정성 척도에 대한 신뢰도와 타당도를 구하는 작업이 이루어졌고 이를 토대로 결과분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 애착 안정성, 자기상, 우울 세 변인 모두에서 성과 학년에 따른 집단간 유의한 차이가 발견되지 않았다. 2. 애착안정성, 자기상, 우울의 상관분석을 실시한 결과 애착안정성과 자기상의 관계에서는 정적인 상관이, 애착안정성과 우울성향, 자기상과 우울성향간에는 부적인 상관이 유의하게 나타났다. 3. 애착안정성은 자기상을 유의하게 설명하였다. 4. 자기상이 우울에 미치는 영향이 유의하게 나타났고, 자기상의 하위요인들이 우울에 미치는 영향을 보다 구체적으로 살펴 본 결과 정서상태, 정신병리, 가족관계가 우울을 유의미하게 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 5. 애착안정성과 우울과의 관계에 있어 자기상의 중재효과를 보기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 애착과 자기상의 상호작용이 유의미하게 나타났고, 애착의 효과를 제거했을 때에도 자기상이 유의미한 설명량을 지니는 것으로 나타나 자기상이 중재효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과에서 애착안정성과 자기상이 우울과 지니는 관련성은 선행 연구와 매우 일치된 결과를 보였으며, 자기상이 애착안정성과 우울의 관계를 중재하는 변인임이 입증되었고 이 또한 선행연구와 일치하는 결과였다. 본 연구 결과 아동 중기에도 애착안정성이 정서조절에 중대한 영향을 미치고 있으며, 애착에서 자기상을 통해 우울로 가는 경로가 확인되었다. ; The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of attachment security and self-image on depression in middle childhood and to test the mediating effects of self-image on depression.. The subjects were 339 school-aged children from three different elementary school. Child s attachment security was assessed by using The Security Scale, self-image was measured by the Self-Image Questionnaire for Young Adolescence(SIQYA), and child s depression was assessed by Revised Korean Version of the Center for Epidemiologic-Depression Scale(Revised CES-D-K). The results of this study were as follows: 1. There were no significant grade and sex differences in attachment security, self-image, and depression. 2. Correlational analyses on attachment security, self-image, and depression level suggested that positive association was significant in the relation between attachment security and self-image, and negative associations were significant in relationship between attachment security and depression level, self-image and depression level. 3. Regression analysis on attachment security and self-image suggested that attachment security has influence on self-image. 4. Regression analysis on self-image and depression suggested that self-image has influence on depression and particularly among sub-scales of self-image emotional tone, psychopathology, and family relationship has significant influence on depression . 5. In the significant test of the mediating effect, the mediating effect of self-image in relationship between attachment security and depression was found. Generally, the effects of attachment security and self-image on depression in current study were consistent with previous studies. And the mediating effect of self-image in relationship between attachment security and depression was supported.
