X-ray를 이용한 미시적 세계에의 접근

Abstract

예술은 미적인 것을 궁극적 가치내용으로 하는 창조활동으로서 미적인 표현에서 기술과 창조를 본질로 한다. 예술에서 표현은 두가지의 의미를 내포하고 있다. 그 하나는 외면의 사물을 묘사하는 원리적 작용으로서의 표현이다. 이러한 표현활동에 있어서, 예술가는 생명적 존재로서의 현실을 재현하려 하는 것이다. 또 다른 하나는 자기의 내적 충동을 밖으로 표현함으로 자기의 심적 상태를 표현하는 자유로운 활동이다. 오늘날 예술의 한 분야로서 행해지는 사진매체는 기계성능의 획기적인 발달에 의하여 가능해진 많은 사진의 정보 제공력과 새로운 창조적 표현 매체로 승화되고 있다. 사진만이 가질 수 있는 독특한 특성을 바탕으로 사진가가 상상치도 못한 세계에의 접근으로 예술적 표현도 가능하게 되었다. 특히 창조적 표현으로 행해지는 X-ray라는 도구를 사용하여 동,식물의 순수내면의 아름다움과 생명 그 자체에 대한 존엄성을 사진 영상의 독특한 매체로 표현하고 있다. X-ray사진은 과학적 실험의 모범적 사례와 자취를 감추는 것을 봄으로써 새로운 전시가치를 보이고 있으며 심지어 기적적인 가치를 이끌어 내고 있다. 우리의 무의식 속에는 자연적 시각을 벗어나 있던 모든 것, 은밀한 부위에 감춰진 것, 너무 가깝거나 너무 먼 것에 대한, 심지어 영혼까지도 보고 싶어하는 심리적 요소가 인간의 내면속에 잠재해 있음을 알 수 있다. 본 논문은 ‘순수 내면 세계’를 연구하는데 있어서 무의식 속에서 욕망이 큰 영향을 미치는 것을 융(Carl Gustav Jung:1875-1961,스위스)의 이론을 토대로 하여 이론적 배경을 설명하고자 한다. 또한 자연의 질서미와 인류의 근원적인 모습이 공존함으로서 외면을 통한 내면을 생각토록한 사진가 윈벌록(Wynn Bullock:1902-1975,미국), 비의(秘儀)의 세계와 신비학(神秘學)에 몰두하여 자기나름대로의 독특한 사진세계를 이룬 마이너 화이트(Minor White;1908-1976,미국) 그리고 내면을 통한 외면의 생명현상을 살아있는 그대로 보여주며, 아무리 작은 생명체일지라도 생명 그 자체의 존엄성과 귀중하게 여길만한 것임을 의식시킨 사회과학자 로만 비시니엑(Roman Visiniac;1897-,미국)에 대하여 그리고 X-ray사진 작품도 조사해 보았다. 본 연구를 통해 내면을 표현하고자 하는 욕망을 동,식물을 통해 구조성,조형성,심미적 요소를 발견하고 자연적인 것은 무엇이든 아름답고 완전한 형상으로 되어있다는 것을 X-ray를 통해 새로운 예술적 표현 방법을 실험하고자 한다. ; Arts is creative activity for ultimate value and consist in technique and creativity applied for expressing beauty. Expression in arts contains two meanings, one is for describing superficiality of objects. In this regard, artists are trying to represent real life as a living exitence. The other is free activity expressing his own psychological status through venting his inner impetus outwardly. Up to now, Photography is sublimed to creative media providing more information of objects and creative way of thinking by way of revolutionary development of mechanic function of camera. Photo s particularity enables those artist to access aethetic expression, never be imagined before. Especially, X-ray method makes it possible for us to value the life itself and its beauty while establishing itself as an exotic media, X-ray photo is building scientific and exemplary traces and crates new exhibition value, even exuding miraculous worth. We come to realize that we human are uncontiousnessly desperate to see all things uncanny or even soul. This study is to explain the influence uncontious desire on the pure inner world of human with the help of Jeong s theoretical background. In addition, Win Bullock(1902-1975), photoartist who deducing inner world from the superficiality of things in the context of coexistence of natural order and archetypel of human being, Minor White(1908-1976), indulged into furtive and supernatural phenomena while establishing his own perspective, Rorman Visiniac(1987-) social scientist who lead us to the understanding that every little things have their own worth through visualizing superficial life by way of inner world of human and some works of X-ray method were all reviewed here. This study is to find out aesthetic factor, structural property and configuration. and explore new artistic expression through X-ray method to reach the conclusion that anything natural is composed of it own beauty and completedness.
