W. A. Mozart의 Violin Sonata in B♭Major K.378에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 석사과정 이수를 위한 본인의 졸업 연주회에서 연주하였던 작품들 중에서 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Violin Sonata in B♭ Major K. 378을 연구, 분석하는 것을 목표로 한다. 고전주의 작곡가 Mozart (1756~1791)는 전 생애에 걸쳐 1000여곡 가까운 작품들을 남겼는데 이것은 인류에게 귀중한 유산이라 할 수 있다. 그는 작곡의 중점을 오페라에 두었으나 교향곡, 협주곡, 실내악, 미사곡 등 매우 광범한 작곡 활동을 하였다. 이작품은 Mozart의 Violin Sonata들을 3시기로 나누어보았을 때 중기작품에 속하는 곡으로 Mozart가 만하임~파리여행에서 돌아와 잘츠부르크에서 보내게 된 1779년 초에 작곡된 곡이다. 곡의 구성은 3악장의 Sonata형식으로 1악장은 Sonata형식, 2악장은 3부형식, 3악장은 론도형식으로 되어있다. 화성의 진행은 명료하고 경쾌한 느낌을 주며 선율들을 제시한 후 이를 번갈아가며 사용, 발전시켜 통일성과 다양성을 동시에 보여주고 있다. 또한 발전부의 발전방식은 전조적 동형진행 (Modulating Sequence)방식을 사용하고 있는데 이것은 선율선을 살려나가는 Mozart 특유의 발전방식이다. 피아노의 선율 또한 돋보이는 곡으로 특히 바이올린을 위한 소나타라기보다는 피아노와 바이올린이 조화를 이루며 2중주의 성격이 짙은 피아노와 바이올린을 위한 소나타라고 할 수 있다. 이곡을 분석을 통해 나타난 Mozart Sonata의 특징은 고전형식의 엄격한 구조를 따르면서도 그 안에서 모차르트 자신만의 개성을 잘 살렸다는 점이다.;This is a study based on the analysis of W. A. Mozart’s Violin Sonata in B Major K.378, a sonata composed in Salzburg. The composition consists of three movements in the following order: sonata form, followed by a compound ternary form, and the final in rondo form. The first movement clearly introduces the first and second theme, with a 5 degree related key of B♭-F Major which observes the basic frame of a standard sonata type. The structure of the second movement is A-B-A’ and the tonality is E♭Major. The structure of the third movement is A-B-A’-C-A″-coda and the total tonality except g minor of B part is B♭Major. The entire composition follows the Alberti Bass type accompaniment, including the scale and grace note, distinctive of W. A. Mozart’s typical composition. Violin Sonata K.378 reflects characteristics of the sonata type developed and polished in the Classical era, while simultaneously embodying W. A. Mozart’s free and explorative nature. As a result, we understand that in the unhindered use of a chromatic scale, freedom of melody, and the diversity and uniformity within the development section, Violin Sonata in B♭ Major K.378 was at center of the classical school quadrangle, while also possessing characteristics of romanticism; the matrix for a new era of music in the 19th century.
