W. A Mozart Violin Concerto No.5 'Turkish' in A Major K.219에 관한 분석연구

Abstract

모차르트는 현악기를 위한 협주곡들은 주로 1773년-1779년 사이에 작곡하였는데, 그의 K.207, K.211, K.216, K.218, K.219 5곡의 바이올린 협주곡은 1775년 6월부터 12월에 이르는 불과 6개월 정도의 매우 짧은 기간 동안에 잘츠부르크(Salzburg)에서 집중적으로 작곡되었다. 이 5곡은 '잘츠부르크 협주곡'이라 불리고 있으며, 이 시기를 '바이올린 협주곡의 해'라 부르기도 한다. 그 중 제 5번인 K.219는 잘츠부르크 협주곡의 마지막을 장식하기에 걸맞은 명곡으로 규모면에서도 크고 곡의 구성에 있어서도 여러 가지 새로운 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 예를 들어, 1악장의 Adagio는 제시부로 들어가기 전에 삽입한 일종의 삽입구가 있다. 이러한 부분을 가리켜 ‘아인강(Eingang)’이라 부르는데, 이는 모차르트의 다른 콘체르토와는 차별된 새로운 시도가 보인다. 2악장은 오케스트라가 먼저 주제를 제시하는 협주적 소나타형식으로 되어 있으며, 3악장은 중간부에서 '터키 행진곡'풍의 리듬이 사용되고 있기 때문에 이 곡을 흔히 '터키(Turkish)' 협주곡이라고 부른다. 당시 오스트리아(Austria)에는 터키 행진곡 풍의 음악이 유행하고 있었고, 그래서 모차르트가 의식적으로 이를 사용했을 것으로 추측된다. 이처럼 고전주의 음악의 완성에 큰 역할을 한 모차르트의 이 마지막 잘츠부르크 협주곡은 새로운 시도들이 보인다. 이를 토대로 본 논문은 모차르트의 터키 음악에 대한 관심과 함께 그의 음악활동과 여러 바이올린 콘체르토에 대해 알아보며, Violin Concerto No. 5 in A Major K.219의 역사적 배경과 작품의 성격, 각 악장별 구조를 분석해본다.;In this study I intended to analyze the form and composition of Violin Concerto No.5 in A Major K.219 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. To achieve purpose, research was conducted on the life and musical activities of Mozart, compositional backgrounds of his several violin concertos, especially No.5 in A Major. In addition, I examined the structure of the piece through analyzing the form and harmony by movement. Mozart composed violin concertos mainly between 1773 and 1779. His 5 violin concertos, K.207, K.211, K.216, K.218, K.219, were composed principally within a very short term of six months from June to December, 1775 at Salzburg. These 5 pieces are called the ‘Salzburg Concerto’ and these periods are called the ‘Year of Violin Concerto’. Such works contributed greatly to the development of the Classical Music. Especially, the Violin Concerto No.5 was composed and premiered at Salzburg. Library of Congress at Washington, U.S.A houses the autograph music of this piece. As the most well-known piece of music that complete Salzburg concertos, this large-scaled piece makes many new attempts in the composition. For example, In the first movement, Adagio, there's a kind of an episode inserted before entering the exposition. It's called "Eingang", showing differentiation from other concertos by Mozart. The second movement is composed of the concertante sonata form that orchestra exposits a theme first. The third movement, using a rhythm of the ‘Turkischer Marsch’ in trio that is why this piece is often called ‘Turkish Concerto’. In those days in Austria, music of Turkischer Marsch style was very popular. Mozart used the elements consciously. As such, a lot of new attempts are seen from the final Salzburg Concerto of Mozart taking a great role in completion of the Classical Music. Based on the analysis above, this examined in this thesis Mozart’s interest in Turkish music, his musical activities and other violin concertos. Also I analyzed the historic backgrounds and characteristics of Violin Concerto No. 5 in A Major K.219 along with the structure of each movement.
