Abstract

에드바르드 그리그(Edvard Grieg, 1843-1907)는 후기 낭만주의 시대의 민족주의 음악 운동을 대표하는 인물이다. 북유럽 쇼팽이라고 불리는 그리그는 독일 낭만파 음악의 기초 위에 노르웨이 민족음악의 선율과 리듬을 많이 도입함으로써, 민속적 색채가 짙은 작품을 다수 작곡하였다. 그의 작곡기법은 음악사적으로도 중요한 가치를 지니며 노르웨이 음악을 세계적 수준으로 끌어올렸다. 그의 작품은 비교적 자유로운 형식을 갖추고 있으며 화성적인 측면에서 단2도 음정과 조바꿈도 과감히 사용하여 자신만의 독창성을 과감하게 나타내었다. 그가 작곡가로서 대성한 후의 작품인「Violin Sonata in c minor, No.3 op.45」는 국제적 무대에서도 그리그의 풍부한 예술성을 높이 평가한 작품이다. 이 곡은 노르웨이 춤곡에서 영감을 얻어 작곡되었으며 민족적인 정서가 짙게 나타난다. 형식은 자유로운 소나타 형식으로, 제 1악장과 제 3악장은 별도의 발전부를 두지 않고 제시부, 재현부, 코다로 구성되어 있으며, 제 2악장은 3부 형식으로 이루어져 있다. 본 논문은 그리그의 대표적 작품 중 하나인「Violin Sonata in c minor, No.3 Op.45」를 중심으로 노르웨이의 민속음악을 연구하고 그의 음악어법을 분석해 보고자 한다.;Edvard Haerup Grieg(1843-1907) was a representative figure of nationalism movement in music in late romantic period. Grieg who was called as “Chopin of Northern Europe” composed quite many pieces of music strongly reflecting folk music by adopting melodies and rhythms of Norwegian folk music on the basis of German romantic music. His musical expressive diction not only has a great artistic merit in terms of music history but also took a critical role of raising standard of Norwegian music to world-class level. His works show relatively free form especially when it comes to harmony, he presented his originality by resolutely using the Minor second and modulation. This thesis studies Norwegian folk music and analyzes Grieg’s musical expressive diction, focusing on <Violin Sonata in c minor, No.3 Op.45> which is the one of his representative works. <Violin Sonata in c minor, No.3 op.45> which was composed after he attained greatness as a composer was well appreciated on the international stage because of its artistic value. Grieg composed this music, deriving inspiration from Norwegian dance music and put musical characteristics of Norwegian into this music. This music has a free sonata form consisting of the exposition, recapitulation and coda without the development section, and the second movement is comprised of three parts.
