Ludwig van Beethoven 의 Violin Sonata No.8, in G Major Op. 30-3 에 대한 분석 연구

Abstract

수많은 음악가들의 존경과 모방하고자 많은 시간을 연구한 사람을 꼽으라면 단연 Ludwig van Beethoven(1770-1827) 일것이다. 그는 시기적으로 고전주의와 낭만주의를 걸친 작곡가로도 소개되는데 그만큼 그의 음악적 스타일은 고전주의의 전통적 양식을 낭만음악의 다양한 형식들과 함께 발전 시켜 놓았기 때문이다. 그는 Franz Joseph Haydn(1732-1809) Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart(1756-1791)와 더불어 빈 고전파 음악의 3대 거장이라 평가되고 있으며, 독창적인 스타일은 후대의 작곡가인 Richard Wagner(1813-1883), Johannes Brahms(1833-1897), Pyotr Il'yich Tchaikovsky(1840-1893), Gustav Mahler(1860-1911) 등이 그의 음악을 따라 하고자 많은 시간을 노력 하였다. 베토벤은 자신의 생애동안 바이올린 소나타를 총 11곡 작곡하였는데 작품번호 없는 1곡을 제외한 10곡들은 지금까지 수많은 연주자들과 학생들이 연구하며 연주되는 소나타들 중에 속하며, 각각 다른 성격과 특징들이 녹아져 있는 곡들이다. 특이한 점은 Op.12-Op.30 까지의 8개의 작품은 1798년부터 1802년까지 사이인 베토벤의 작품양식 시기 구분상 제1기에 해당되는 시기의 작품들이고, 나머지 확대된 형식으로 쓰여 진 두 작품인 No.9(1803)와 No.10(1812)은 약 10년이라는 긴 시간이 흐른 뒤 작곡된 곡이다. 본 논문은 초기로 분류되는 시기에 쓰여진 Violin Sonata No.8, Op.30, No.3 G Major로 1802년에 쓰여 진 3개의 Violin Sonata 중 3번째 작품이다. 이 곡은 베토벤 작품양식 시기 중 초기에 속하지만 기법들이나 표현으로 볼 때 중기 이후의 작품특징과 방향을 예시해주고 있다. 이 작품은 3악장으로 구성되어 있으며 제1악장은 Sonata 형식, 제2악장은 3부형식이지만 중간부가 축소된 불규칙한 구조이며 Minuet이라 명시되어 있지만 가요형식도 속해있다. 제3악장은 빠른 Rondo형식으로 2부분으로 되어있으며, 대위적인 구조와 성부간의 교차가 많이 보이고, 특히나 대등하게 Piano와 Violin이 다루어 져있다. 이러한 특징들을 보았을 때 이 곡은 그의 다른 이전의 No.1-No.7의 Violin Sonata 곡들에 비해 음역의 확대와 대립이 뚜렷해지고 선율의 구분이 확실시 되는 명확성의 특징이 보이고 있다.;The aim of this study is to analyze Ludwig van Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No.8, Op.30-3, one of the works composed by him. Though this tune was composed in his earlier days, we can conjecture from the musical techniques used for it that it was a work in his middle years. This work consists of three movements as a whole. This first movement is in G Major: Allegro assai. It shows a form of classic sonata composed of the exposition, Durchfuehrung, and the Reprise. The first theme in the principal key is contrastive with the second theme in a minor, the dominant key. The passage is extended extremely by using the thematic elements of the first and second themes with vague distinctions. Comparatively concise Durchfuehrung and use of a free scale extremely extend the tune’s expression in a classical mode, and shows the forms used in Beethoven’s sonatas in his middle years. The second movement is in E♭ Major with Tempo di Minuetto, ma molto moderato e grazioso. It is a Minuetto with a trio of three parts, A-B-A’. In its irregular structure, the first A part has many modulations in an extended form, the middle B part is reduced, and the last A’ part is composed in an extended form. Chromatic harmonic sequences and alternate play of the piano and violin’s melodies are prominent in this movement. The third movement has a rondo form transformed in Allegro vivace. Beethoven liked to use the rondo form, but this tune does not have a 5 part rondo structurebut is close to a 6 part composition with the coda extended. From this form, we can see Beethoven’s innovative musical propensity with which he pursued novel things. In Beethoven’s Violin Sonata Op.30-3, the melody sequences are not focused on the solo instrument, violin, but do use the two instruments equally. This is very significant in that it shows its duo sonata like nature.
