안토니오 비발디의 「당신은 하늘과 땅의 왕」(O qui coeli terraeque serenitas) RV 631에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 바로크 시대에 유명했던 비발디(Antonio Vivaldi, 1678-1741)의 모테트 중의 하나인 「당신은 하늘과 땅의 왕」(O qui coeli terraeque serenitas) RV 631을 연주하는 성악가의 입장에서 연구한 것이다. 필자는 이 작품을 통하여 비발디의 모테트에서 보여지는 바로크 시대 연주 관습을 집중적으로 연구함으로써 실질적인 연주에 도움이 되는 방법을 찾고자 했다. 본고에서는 먼저 17세기의 시대적 배경과 음악 사상들을 알아본 후, 이 시대의 연주관습과 모테트의 특징, 비발디의 생애와 모테트에 대해 살펴보았다. 특히, 바로크 시대의 연주관습을 중점적으로 알아보고, 분석 곡의 어떤 부분에 어떻게 적용되는지 실제적으로 대입시켜보았다. 이 후에 곡 분석을 통해 비발디가 이 곡에서 사용한 음악기법, 가사와 음악과의 관계에 대하여 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 필자는 바로크 시대에는 바로크 시대에는 음악으로 인간의 감정을 모방하는 방법에 대한 이론인 ‘감정이론’이 보편적인 음악사상 이었고, 가사전달을 효과적으로 하기 위해 모노디 양식과 같은 새로운 양식이 고안되었다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 모테트는 바로크 시대에 성행했던 장르로써, 바로크 시대에는 템포, 아티큘레이션, 리듬, 셈여림, 장식음의 카테고리 안에 적절한 연주관습이 있었는데, 이런 연주관습들은 청중에게 감정을 잘 전달하기 위한 방법들이었다. 비발디 모테트 「당신은 하늘과 땅의 왕」RV 631은 현악 반주가 딸린 독창 모테트로써 기악적인 요소와 성악의 음악적인 요소가 잘 결합된 곡이다. 가사의 내용은 선율, 리듬, 화성, 음형을 통해 잘 표현되며, 서정적인 곡에서는 당김음과 부점의 사용이 많다. 특히 현악 반주의 움직임은 곡의 분위기를 잘 나타내주며, 반복되는 주제선율과 리듬의 반복으로 곡 전체에 통일성을 주었다.;The research is studied in the view of a singer about the 「O qui coeli terraeque serenitas」RV 631 which is one of the motet of Vivaldi famous in the Baroque era. I tried to study intensively about the convention of performing of Vivaldi in the Baroque era through this work. In the article, I researched firstly about the time setting of seventeenth centuries and the theme idea of music, then I researched the characteristics of motet, convention of performing and the life of Vivaldi. For especially I studied the custom of performing in the era of Baroque and substituted to the specific work. Through researching, I examined the musical technique of Vivaldi used in the work and the relationship between the melodies and lyrics. For the results of all, I found out that the emotion theory which supports the idea of music imitates the emotion of people was the main theory in Baroque, and new styles like monody style were used to deliver the lyrics effectively. Motet is one of the popular genre in the Baroque era, which includes rhythm, articulation, tempo and other proper customs of performing, which are used to deliver the emotion effectively. The work is a sole motet with string accompaniment, which shows beautiful combination of voice and instruments. The lyrics are well delivered by the rhythm, melodies, and harmonies. Also there are lots of syncopations and dotted notes in the lyrical part. For especially the string movements expressed the atmosphere of the work successfully and repetition of subject melodies have made harmonic and coherent work.
