J. Brahms Violin Sonata No.2 in A Major Op.100 분석 연구

Abstract

요하네스 브람스(Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897)는 19세기 낭만주의 시대에 교향곡, 실내악, 합창곡 등 오페라를 제외한 당대 독일 최고의 작곡가이다. 원숙한 낭만주의를 대표하는 음악가의 한 사람이며, 낭만주의적 감정을 고전주의적 형식의 틀 안에 한정시켜 신고전주의 라는 독특한 음악어법을 구축하였다. 브람스는 독일낭만파 작곡가 중에서도 실내악곡 창작에 커다란 비중을 두었으며 커다란 발자취를 남긴 것으로 유명하다. 브람스의 후기 작품으로 바이올린 소나타 중 가장 선율적이라는 평가를 받는 <Violin Sonata No.2 in A Major, Op.100>이 있다. 고전주의 형식인 소나타 구조 안에서 대위법을 이용한 선율의 흐름을 동기적으로 확장시키며 반복과 모방을 이루고 전통적 화성기능에 기초한 낭만파 음악의 교차리듬 사용과 당김음, 변화화음 , 폭넓은 분산화음 등이 자주 나타난다. 이 곡은 전체 3악장으로 구성되며 제 1악장은 전형적인 소나타 형식으로 제시부, 발전부, 재현부로 이루어진다. 제 2악장은 AB-A'B'-A"B"로 구성된 3부 형식으로 Andante tranquillo로 주제를 제시하고, Vivace의 대조적인 빠르기로 A, B의 서로 다른 주제가 대비된다. 제 3악장은 Rondo 형식 으로 다양한 리듬적 요소가 나타나며 일반적인 론도 형식과 다르게 경과구과 포함되고 가장 선율적인 악장이다. 본 논문에서는 <Violin Sonata No.2 in A Major, Op.100>을 악장별 구조와 형식, 화성과 선율, 리듬에 대한 분석을 통해 이해하고 브람스의 생애와 더불어 실내악 음악, 낭만주의와 고전주의의 음악기법이 결합한 브람스의 음악적 특징을 살펴보고자 한다.;Johannes Brahms, one of the greatest 19th century composer, had unique style of composing that combined romanticism with traditional format of classicism. <Violin Sonata No.2, Op. 100> is most appreciated for its lyrical quality and beautiful melody. It is composed of three movements. The first movement is in Sonata form, which consist of exposition, development, and recapitulation. The second movement is in a Ternary form of AB-A'B'-A"B". Each form presents different subjects, showing contrasts between Andante tranquillo and Vivace. The third movement is composed of Rondo form. However, unlike typical forms of Rondo, it is presenting various rhythmic elements and abundant melody. Brahms composed based on the traditional format of Sonata. Emphasizing and repeating unison show characteristics of the traditional classicism. On the other hand, 2:3 complex rhythm, irregular rhythm, syncopation, and chromatic progression represents romantic characteristics. This thesis is aimed to show that Brahms established unique style of music through combination of traditional classicism with romanticism.
