F. Chopin의「Piano Sonata No. 3 in B Minor, Op. 58」에 관한 연구

Abstract

19세기 초 유럽은 사회, 문화적으로 큰 변화를 겪으며 각 나라들이 혼란을 겪던 시기였다. 음악 또한 이러한 영향을 받아 기존의 틀에서 벗어나 새로운 것을 추구하기 시작하였다. 19세기 낭만주의 피아노 음악에 있어서 빼놓을 수 없는 작곡가 겸 피아니스트 쇼팽은 폴란드 출신의 애국자였으며, 민족주의 이념을 가진 낭만주의 정신으로 일관된 작품을 남긴 작곡가였다. 본 논문은 필자의 석사과정 졸업연주회의 연주곡목 중 <F. Chopin의 피아노 소나타 B단조, Op. 58> 에 대한 연구이다. 먼저 쇼팽의 생애와 그 당시 시대적, 사회적 배경에 대해 알아보고 그 당시의 상황이 그의 음악에 어떠한 영향을 주었고, 그로 인해 어떠한 작품들이 나왔는지에 대해서도 연구하여 설명을 더했다. 본론에서는 소나타 제 3번의 구조를 악장별로 살펴본 뒤 선율 구조의 특징과 화성의 변형, 주제의 발전 등에 대하여 구체적으로 알아보았다. 소나타는 고전시대 기악음악의 전형적인 형식개념과 장르개념으로 이해된다. 그러나 소나타라는 형식은 여러 시대에 걸쳐 다양하게 변형되어 사용되어지고 있는데 쇼팽의 소나타 형식에서 보여 지는 여러가지 낭만주의적인 특징들을 설명하였다. 본 논문에서는 쇼팽의 작품 가운데에서도 최고 성숙기에 작곡된 <피아노 소나타 Op. 53, B단조> 를 통해 쇼팽 작품의 특징과 구조적 특징 등을 알아보고 총 연주시간이 30분에 달하고 구성이 복잡하여 그만큼 연주자에게 부담스러운 곡임에 분명한 이 곡의 연구를 통하여 쇼팽 음악에 대한 이해를 도울 수 있었으면 하는 바람이다.;Early 19th century was the time when different countries of Europe were going through big changes both culturally and socially. Music started to pursue new things, apart from the standard pattern by this influence. Chopin(1810∼1849), who cannot be dismissed from the piano music of the 19th century Romanticism, was a Polish patriot, a pianist, and a composer who had the idea of philosophy that left masterpieces with consistent Romanticism. This research paper is about <Chopin's Piano Sonata in B minor, Op. 58>, which one of the writer's repertoire during the graduation concert of Master course. To begin with, I added some explanations after studying about Chopin's life, social background of that era, circumstantial influences on his music, and what pieces came out as a result. Proceeding to the main issue, I examined the third Sonata as movements, and researched thoroughly about the characteristics of melody structure, modification of chords, as well as development in the theme. Sonata is comprehended as conventional concepts of formality and genre of classical period's instrumental music. Nevertheless, the form called sonata has been modified variously, being used through generations. This paper explains distinct features of diverse characteristics shown in Chopin's sonata with those of classical period. I hope that this paper will help in understanding Chopin's music by the means of learning its structural characteristics through <Piano Sonata in B minor, Op. 53, B Minor>, composed while Chopin was in his full maturity, and therefore overwhelming enough for a performer due to its complexity and length measuring about 30 minutes.
