'유치원 교육활동 지도자료'의 사회생활 관련 활동 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 '유치원 교육 활동 지도 자료'의 사회생활영역 관련 활동의 분포 경향과 가치 및 태도 관련 내용을 분석해 봄으로써 유아사회교육의 경향을 알아보는 데에 연구의 목적이 있다. 이에 따른 구체적인 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 1. '유치원 교육 활동 지도 자료'의 사회생활영역 관련 활동의 경향은 어떠한가? 1-1. 사회생활영역 관련 활동의 비중은 어떠한가? 1-2. 사회생활영역 관련 활동의 분포 경향은 어떠한가? 2. '유치원 교육 활동 지도 자료'의 사회생활영역 관련 활동에 포함된 가치 및 태도 관련 내용의 경향은 어떠한가? 2-1. 사회생활영역 관련 활동에 포함된 가치 및 태도 관련 내용의 전체적 경향은 어떠한가? 2-2. 사회생활영역 관련 활동에 포함된 가치 및 태도 관련 내용의 생활 주제별 경향은 어떠한가? 2-3. 사회생활영역 관련 활동에 포함된 가치 및 태도 관련 내용의 수준별 경향은 어떠한가? 본 연구의 대상은 제 6차 유치원 교육과정에 기초하여 교육부(2000)에서 발행한 '유치원 교육 활동 지도 자료' 총 12권 중 생활 주제별 활동 지도 자료 10권에 포함된 사회생활영역 관련 활동 539개이다. 사회생활영역 관련 활동에서 가치 및 태도의 내용을 분석하기 위한 연구도구로는 이원영, 박찬옥과 노영희(1993)가 제시한 '사회적 덕목'을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회생활영역 관련 활동의 경향을 알아본 결과 사회생활영역 관련 활동은 '유치원 교육 활동 지도 자료'에 수록된 총 활동수의 43.2%를 차지하였다. 생활 주제별로 분포를 살펴본 결과 사회생활영역 관련 활동은 우리 나라와 다른 나라, 특별한 날들, 지구와 환경, 가족과 이웃, 나와 유치원, 건강한 몸과 마음, 교통기관, 동물, 도구와 기계, 계절 순으로 많이 포함되어 있었다. 수준별로는 Ⅰ수준보다 Ⅱ수준에 사회생활영역 관련 활동이 더 많이 포함되어 있었다. 활동유형별로는 자유선택활동과 대ㆍ소집단활동에 비슷하게 분포되어 있었다. 활동유형별 구체적인 분포 경향을 살펴본 결과 사회생활영역 관련 활동은 이야기 나누기, 수ㆍ조작놀이영역, 동화ㆍ동시ㆍ동극, 게임 등의 4개 유형에 전체 활동수의 절반 정도의 활동이 포함되어 있으며 컴퓨터영역, 목공놀이영역, 음률영역에서는 매우 적게 포함되어 있었다. 둘째, 사회생활영역 관련 활동에 포함된 가치 및 태도 관련 내용의 경향을 살펴본 결과 가치 및 태도 관련 내용은 협동, 타인입장존중, 질서, 긍정적 사고, 주체의식, 타인신뢰 순으로 많이 다루어지는 반면 정직, 근면, 인내, 청결, 양보, 물질만능배제, 책임 등은 매우 적게 다룸으로써 덕목별로 다루어지는 정도에 차이가 있었다. 생활주제별로 가치 및 태도 관련 내용의 경향을 살펴본 결과 특별한 날들, 우리 나라와 다른 나라, 건강한 몸과 마음, 가족과 이웃, 나와 유치원 순으로 사회적 덕목을 많이 포함하고 있었다. 생활주제별로 구체적 내용의 경향을 살펴본 결과 협동은 모든 생활주제에 대체로 고루 분포되어 있고 나머지 덕목들은 생활주제의 특성에 따라 특정덕목이 생활주제별로 집중 분포되어 있었다. 수준별로는 Ⅰ수준보다 Ⅱ수준에 가치 및 태도 관련 내용이 더 많이 포함되어 있었으며 수준별로 구체적 내용의 경향을 살펴본 결과 각각의 덕목이 수준별로 차지하는 비율이 비슷하였다.;This study has an object in investigating a trend in early childhood social education by analyzing the trend of the activities and the contents of virtues and attitudes related to the social life category showing in 'The Guiding Materials for the Kindergarten Educational Activities'. The definite research issues are as follows. 1. How about the trend of the activities related to social life category of 'The Guiding Materials for the Kindergarten Educational Activities'? 1-1. How about the importance of the activities related to social life category? 1-2. How about the distribution trend of the activities related to social life category? 2. How about the trend of the contents related to virtues and attitudes included in social life category of 'The Guiding Materials for the Kindergarten Educational Activities'? 2-1. How about the general trend of the contents related to virtues and attitudes included in the activities related to social life category? 2-2. How about the trend with life theme of the contents related to virtues and attitudes included in the activities related to social life category? 2-3. How about the trend with the level of the contents related to virtues and attitudes included in the activities related to social life category? The subjects of this study was the activities of 539 related to social life category included in ten-volume the guiding materials for activities of life theme among 'The Guiding Materials for the Kindergarten Educational Activities' in 12 volumes. The research tool to analyze the contents of the values and attitudes in the activities related to the social life category was 'social virtue' proposed by Lee, Park and Rho(1993). The results obtained from this study are summarized as follows. First, the trend study of the activities related to the social life category showed that it occupied 43.2% of total activities recorded in 'The Guiding Materials for the Kindergarten Educational Activities'. The analysis of the distribution of the activities related to the social life category with life theme proved that the activities related to the social life category were included much in the order of our country and a foreign one, special days, the earth and environment, family and neighborhood, I and kindergarten, healthy body and sound mind, means of transportation, an animal, a tool and an apparatus, a season. And it is included much more in level II rather than level I. In the activity type, the activities related to the social life category was distributed similarly in free-choice activity and large and/or small group one. The analysis of the concrete distribution trend with the activity type, proved that the activities related to the social life category were included about a half of total activit ies in the four types of conversation, number·operation play category, animation·children's verse·children's drama·game, while very few in the category of computer, woodworking play and tune. Second, the investigation of trend of the contents related to the values and attitudes included in the activities related to the social life category showed that it was handled much in the order of cooperation, respect for another person's situation, regularity, affirmative thinking, independence, trust in others, while very few in honesty, diligence, patience, cleanliness, concession, exclusion of mammonism and responsibility. So the difference in degree of handling existed within virtues. The analysis of the trend of the contents related to the values and attitudes with the life theme proved that more social virtues were included in the order of special days, our country and a foreign one, healthy body and sound mind, family and neighborhood, I and kindergarten. The investigation of the trend of the concrete contents with the life theme established that a cooperation was generally distributed equally in all life themes but in the others, the specific virtue was distributed intensively with the property of life theme. With the level, the contents related to the values and attitudes is included much more in level II rather than level I. In the investigation of the trend of the concrete contents with level, each virtue had a similar ratio with level.
