안드로이드 스마트 폰 환경에서의 위치기반 차단 관리용 학습지원 애플리케이션 개발

Abstract

최근 스마트 디바이스의 대중화와 스마트 폰의 확산으로 인하여 스마트 디바이스를 이용한 활용 영역이 다양해지면서 학습 현장에 있어서도 스마트 디바이스의 교육적 활용이 시작되고 있는 시점과 맞물려 스마트 디바이스 상의 애플리케이션을 부적절한 시간과 장소에서 사용하는 등 교육현장에서의 부작용이 확대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 학습 공간 전체의 스마트 디바이스 사용을 금지하지 않고 수업공간이 아닌 학교 내의 일정지역에서 통신 및 애플리케이션 수행을 허가하여 학생들의 편의성을 유지하면서도 학습 공간 내에서 불필요한 통신 및 서비스를 제어함으로써 교육의 효율성을 재고할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 일정 학습 구역 내에 스마트 디바이스가 위치하게 되면 학습자에 맞는 스마트 디바이스의 제어를 수행하는 자동 제어 애플리케이션(MACE, Mobile Auto-App Controller for Education)을 설계하고 구현하였다. 본 연구에서 설계, 구현한 MACE의 주요 기능으로는 첫째, 지도를 통한 학습 구역 영역을 설정하는 학습 구역 설정 기능 둘째, 학습에 불필요한 애플리케이션을 판단하여 개별 스마트 디바이스에 지정하는 하는 애플리케이션 설정기능 셋째, 학습구역에 스마트 디바이스가 위치해 있으면 지정된 애플리케이션 설정에 따라 불필요한 애플리케이션의 이용을 차단하는 애플리케이션 차단 기능 넷째, 학습에 방해가 되는 네트워크를 지정하는 기능 다섯째, 학습 구역에 스마트 디바이스가 위치해 있으면 네트워크 서비스인 Wi-Fi 및 3G 차단 기능으로 요약된다. 본 연구의 결과를 활용하면 시험 시행 시 부정행위 방지에의 활용, 학교 내 스마트 디바이스 소지의 문제해결에 활용, 스마트 디바이스 금지에 따른 인권침해 방지, 학습 현장에서의 스마트 디바이스 부작용 문제 등이 해결 가능할 것으로 기대된다.;As uprising usage of smart phones and smart devices, the side effect of using them is rapidly increasing, especially in the educational field. Thus, the need of controlling smart devices is necessary in the classroom environments. This article suggests an alternative of controlling smart devices. We use an automatic regional controlling mechanism of smart device applications and network services to establish better educational environments. The automatic regional controlling mechanism presets the regional area of educational zone and applications to prevent the service of application and internet networking to avoid unnecessary internet surfing. The application we developed is called MACE (Mobile Auto-App Controller for Education). It uses automatic regional controlling mechanism to control selected applications from being blocked inside a preset region. The MACE main functions are 1. Presetting educational district(regional area)s using geographical maps. 2. Presetting applications for controlling smart devices. 3. Presetting networks for controlling smart devices. 4. Preventing and controlling applications behaviour of smart devices which is enter into the presetting area. 5. Preventing and controlling networks status of smart devices which is enter into the presetting area. MACE can prevent the unnecessary usage of smart devices at teaching fields. We expect that it is one of the alternatives for getting rid of side effects of using smart devices in the educational environment.
