훈데르트바서(Hundertwasser)의 회화 작품을 응용한 니트웨어 디자인 연구

Abstract

In modern fashion, Knitwear has emerged the value as compelling materials of practicality and unique beauty. In addition to, the demands of knitwear are increasing according to change of life style for improvements in living standards by increasing the importance about comfort and leisure. Customers who prefer are increasing individualistic self-expression and distinctive design that fashion designers are approaching to various attempts. To combine costume designs and paintings is not simply imitating images and patterns of work but through them to create new images. Knitwear has been developed as an area of art wear and media's representation of textile art. It has a unique texture, elasticity and functionality. furthermore, It represents the artistic beauty. In this study It was applied austrian painter, architect, naturalist Hundertwasser' s paintings to design knit wear. Hundertwasser's paintings have the characteristics in his works continue to emerge organical spiral, geometric pattern of squares, mysterious and gorgeous colors. His paintings are represented rich and varied modern trend in construction and material. This study by applying them, It has been purposed of expansion of representation outstanding artistic formative kit wear by using yarn of various textured fabrics and leather, felt, beads of the material. It was applied to knit wear complex techniques of hand knitting, felting, niddle punching and patchwork. beading and a decorative pattern of Hundertwasser's painting. The contents and methods of this study are through the analysis of literature of Hundertwasser's paintings and art world and formative traits. I have studied the literature of the theoretical background in general examination of knit wear and knit, felting, needle punching techniques. Based on this, the real work has produced eight clothes. It has been used variety of yarn and fabric, leather ,felt and beads to express decorative pattern of formative traits of the spiral and square of Hundertwasser's works. It also tried to express variously color of materials. The configuration of the real work is totally 8, 3 coats, 4 dresses and 1 jumpsuit. In this study, I had design decorative pattern of Hundertwasser's work as a motif. It could be completed unique and diverse and rich textures of formative knit wear. Conclusions from this study are as follows: The first, It could know the organic spirals and geometric square patterns and gorgeous colors of Hundertwasser's paintings are suitable as a decorative and rich motif of knit wear design. The second, It was possible unique and various texture expression of decorative patterns of Hundertwasser's paintings by expressing variety of materials of Knit and Felt, fabric, leather, beads. The third, It was expressed knit wear of unique texture to express Hundertwasser 's image of the paintings by using hand knitting, felting, needle punching, patchwork, beading of complex techniques. The forth, It was reflected well Hundertwasser's idea which was affected art nouveau that All production process is composed of handcraft techniques. and It was suitable to express the naturalness of hand knit and not mechanical and artificial image. The fifth, It was analyzed lines and patterns of Hundertwasser's painting. The spiral is simultaneously constituted curve shape and area that A square patterns also have devided area. Therefore, Hundertwasser's paintings are not three-dimensional and it has the planar configurations. An analysis of color, It presents together similar colors between High brightness and saturation of colors and relatively low ones. It also could see that achromatic black and gray colors show even higher saturation. It was confirmed to create formative and distinguish it from other fashion unique and differentiated beauty of knit wear by applying colorful and decorative patterns of the three-dimensional 8 clothes of the real work knit wear. In this study, It should be help of people's everyday lives, we can do together and as a costume formative art to increase its value through the combination of art and costumes painting to design as a motif. In addition to, It will be contributed to in the knit wear field of development and to increase the added value of the fashion industry by combining a variety of new materials and techniques in a newly recreate. Finally, handicraft techniques should be steadily developed that it is important over discrimination and ​​individuality in the modern fashion and it can attain unique formative beauty.;현대 패션에서 니트웨어는 실용성과 특유의 아름다움이 돋보이는 소재로서, 독특한 질감과 신축성 및 기능성을 가지는 동시에 더 나아가 예술적인 조형미를 나타내고 있어 그 가치가 더욱 부각되고 있다. 생활수준의 향상으로 인한 라이프스타일의 변화에 따라 편안함과 여가 활동에 대한 중요성이 커지고 있어 니트웨어에 대한 수요가 계속 증가하고 있다. 패션 디자이너들은 개성적인 자아 표현과 차별화된 디자인을 선호하는 소비자의 욕구가 늘어남에 따라 다양한 방법과 시도들을 통해 접근하고 있으며, 그 중에서도 화가의 회화를 의상 디자인에 접목하는 것은 작품의 이미지와 문양을 모방하는 것 뿐만 아니라, 새로운 이미지를 창출해내는데 의의가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 오스트리아의 화가이자, 건축가, 자연주의자인 훈데르트바서의 회화를 응용하여 니트웨어를 디자인하였다. 훈데르트바서의 회화는 끊임없이 등장하는 유기적인 나선형과 사각형의 기하학적인 문양, 화려하고 신비로운 색채의 조형적인 특성을 가지고 있다. 그의 회화는 구성과 재료 사용에 있어 다양하고 풍부하며 현대주의적 경향이 표현되어 있다. 이를 응용하여 본 연구는 다양한 질감의 니트 실과 환편 니트, 펠트, 망사 및 가죽 원단과 비즈 등의 다양한 소재를 사용하여 핸드니팅, 패치워크, 핸드 니들 펀칭, 비딩 등의 복합 기법을 적용한 독특하고 풍부한 질감의 소재를 개발하고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구는 훈데르트바서의 장식적인 문양을 니트웨어에 응용하여 예술적 조형성이 돋보이는 니트웨어의 표현영역 확장에 그 의의를 가진다. 본 연구의 내용과 방법은 훈데르트바서의 회화의 형성 배경과 작품 세계 및 조형적 특성 등을 문헌 연구를 통해 분석하고, 훈데르트바서의 회화에 나타나는 선과 문양 및 NCS를 통해 색채를 분석하였다. 니트웨어의 일반적 고찰과 함께 니트웨어에 나타난 표현기법 등을 문헌 연구와 인터넷 등을 통해 살펴보았고, 니트웨어의 표현기법으로 적용된 핸드 니팅과 패치워크 및 핸드 니들 펀칭 및 비딩에 관한 내용을 사례와 함께 살펴본 뒤, 분석된 이론적 배경을 토대로 실물 작품 8점을 제작하였다. 실물 작품의 구성은 코트 3점과 원피스 4점, 점프수트 1점으로 제작하였고, 본 연구에서 훈데르트바서의 회화에 등장하는 장식적인 문양과 색상을 모티프로 디자인하여 총 8점의 니트웨어를 제작한 결과 독특하고 다양하며 풍부한 질감의 조형적인 니트웨어를 완성할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 훈데르트바서의 회화의 유기적인 나선형과 사각형의 기하학적인 문양은 평면적인 구성으로 니트 소재의 특성과 유사하여 니트웨어의 모티프로 적합함을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 훈데르트바서의 회화의 화려한 색채와 장식적인 문양들은 니트, 환편 니트, 펠트, 가죽, 망사, 비즈 등의 다양한 소재와 색상으로 표현함으로써 독특하고 다양한 질감 표현을 가능하게 하였다. 셋째, 훈데르트바서의 회화의 다양한 구성과 풍부한 재료의 표현은 핸드 니팅, 패치워크, 핸드 니들 펀칭, 비딩 등의 다양한 복합 기법을 적용하기에 적합하며 더욱 풍부하고 독특한 질감의 니트웨어를 표현할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 모든 제작과정은 수공예로 이루어져 예술적 가치를 높였을 뿐만 아니라, 아르누보의 영향을 받은 훈데르트바서의 사상이 반영되어 핸드 니트의 기계적이거나 인위적이지 않은 특유의 자연스럽고 부드러운 느낌을 표현하는데 적합하였다. 다섯째, 훈데르트바서의 회화에 나타난 선과 문양을 분석한 결과 나선형은 곡선 형태이지만 동시에 면적 구성이며, 사각형은 색면 분할의 형태로 구성되었다. 훈데르트바서의 회화에 등장하는 모티프들은 입체적이지 않고 평면적인 구성을 취하고 있으며, 선적인 표현보다 면적인 구성으로 표현되었음을 알 수 있었다. 여섯째, 훈데르트바서의 색채를 NCS로 분석한 결과 훈데르트바서의 회화의 전체적인 색상의 느낌은 화려하고 원색적이지만 같은 색상 계열에서도 유사한 색상들이 존재하고 있는데 그 사이에서도 명도와 채도가 높게 나타나는 색상과 비교적 낮게 나타나는 색상이 함께 분포하고 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 블랙과 그레이의 무채색계열의 어두운 색상이 채도가 높은 색상을 더욱 돋보이게 하는 역할을 함을 알 수 있었다. 다양한 느낌의 여러 소재들과 복합 기법을 사용하여 훈데르트바서의 회화의 장식적인 문양과 화려한 색채들을 적용한 8점의 니트웨어의 실물 작품을 제작한 결과 니트웨어의 조형적이고 다른 패션과 구별되는 독특하고 차별화된 아름다움을 창출 할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 회화를 모티프로 차용하여 예술과 의상의 접목을 통해 사람들의 일상적인 삶 속에 예술을 공존하게 하고, 의상이 조형적 예술로써 그 가치를 높일 수 있는데 도움이 되고자 한다. 뿐만 아니라, 니트웨어가 다양한 소재들과 기법으로 결합하여 새롭게 재창조되어 니트웨어 분야의 발전과 패션산업의 부가가치를 높이는데 이바지하고자 한다. 마지막으로 수공예적인 기법은 개성과 차별화를 중시하는 현대 패션에 더욱 부각되어 중시되는 경향을 보이고 있어 독특한 조형미를 연출할 수 있음으로 꾸준히 개발되어야 하겠다.
