비(雨)의 이미지를 표현한 도자 조형 연구

Abstract

물은 인간 뿐 만 아니라 모든 생명체에 없어서는 안 될 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 물의 생성과정 중에서도 특히 ‘비’는 무정형성이라는 특성과 위에서 떨어지는 특성 등 여러 특성들에 따라 예술분야의 소재로 무수히 사용되었으며, 아직도 많은 표현의 잠재력을 갖고 있다. 비가 올 때 연구자는 침체되는 분위기를 전환하거나 비가 오는 것을 즐기기 위해 무엇인가 하려고 애를 쓰다가 우연히 창문에 떨어지는 빗방울 소리를 듣게 되었다. 그것을 무심히, 유심히 바라보면서 시간의 흐름에 점점 사라져 버리는 빗방울들을 관찰하게 된다. 빗방울은 우리 곁에 계속 존재하는 것이 아니라 기억들로만 남겨질 수 있다는 그 자체가 작품에서 중요한 요소로 작용하여 어딘가에 어떤 모습으로든 담고 싶은 마음에 빗방울 자체가 작품의 소재가 되었다. 빗방울은 외부의 영향 즉, 대기의 흐름, 온도, 비 내리는 속도와 바람, 인위적인 것 등에 의해 곱게 맺히거나 흩어지거나 한쪽으로 몰려들어 터지거나 아니면 서로 합쳐지면서 흘러내리거나 문득 사라져 버리기도 한다. 잔잔한 상태에서 극단적인 술렁임에 이르기까지 다채로운 움직임들은 연구자의 눈에 포착되고, 미처 생각할 수 없었던 또 다른 현상들을 볼 수 있게 된다. 따라서 외부 환경이나 기후에 따른 정서를 ‘비’의 이미지를 통해 구체적 형상과 시적, 몽환적인 분위기로 접목시키고, 내면의 감정을 포용하여 외부로 연결되는 공간을 형성하고자 하였다. 비 오는 풍경 이면에는 세상을 감성적으로 보는 연구자의 태도가 담겨있다. 그 풍경들은 현실이지만 연구자는 그것을 파악하고 사고하는 의지가 바탕에 내재되어 있다. 바쁜 현대 사회를 살아가는 일반인들이 누구나 매일 체험하는 일상적 미의 신선한 발견을 통해 아름다움과 일상의 행복에 대한 가치를 재확인 하고자 한다. 본 연구를 통해 자연 속에서 일상적인 일로만 보일 수 있는 빗방울, 또는 비가 내릴 때의 현상에 대한 주관적인 이미지를 도자조형으로서 표현하여 일상에 지친 바쁜 현대인들에게 자연의 아름다움을 깨닫게 하고자 한다.;Water is one of the important factors which are essential to not only human but also all of living organisms. Among the generative process of water, rain has been used for the materials of artistic field so many times according to the several characteristics such as amorphousness, dropping, etc. and it has lots of potentials still. The raindrops are formed prettily, spreaded, gathered to one side and bursted, united and flowed or disappeared suddenly by external effects such as stream of air, temperature, raining speed, wind, artificial thing, etc. The various movements from calm status to extreme stirring are captured by observer's eyes and he can see another phenomenon unexpected. Therefore, the emotion by external environment or climate is grasped onto concrete form, poetic and dreamlike atmosphere through the raining image and the space related to the outside was intended to form by embracing internal emotion. When it's rain, this researcher strives for doing something so as to eliminate depressed atmosphere or enjoying the raining, listens to the rain-dropping sound in the window by chance and observes raindrops which are gradually disappeared with the time while watching them indifferently or attentively. Meanwhile, the fact it can be generally remained by only memories, not existed still besides us, plays a role as an important factor in the work, so raindrops become material with the desire to take it to somewhere with any appearance. In another face of the raining landscape, there is this researcher's attitude to see the world subjectively. The landscapes are objects of actualities, but the thought that human grasps and uses it is on the foundation. Through the fresh discovery of daily beauty that general people living in busy modern society experience everyday, the value for beauty and daily happiness was intended to reconfirm. Raindrops which can be shown as one of trifling existences although they are one part of the nature or subjective image for rain-dropping phenomenon are designed and expressed so as to let busy modern people tired by daily life realize the beauty of natural daily life.
