유도동기(Leitmotiv)를 활용한 창작 음악극 수업지도안 개발

Abstract

Music drama is a synthetic art in which musical, theatrical, and dance elements are combined; educationally taken, it can be called a comprehensive musical activity that makes students to experience various activities and participate in them. In the music drama class, students autonomously lead their musical activities; it follows that they can experience music directly, and which can stimulate students’ participation. On this basis, this study aims to develop a lesson plan that helps teachers lead students to create a music drama on their own and to make it effectively applied to school. In addition, the lesson plan is focused on how the music drama that is, a comprehensive model of music class with various musical activities with which students can make the music is the way of their life. Prior to the development of the lesson plan, a theoretical foundation was established out of the collection and analysis of literature on music drama and leitmotif. For doing so, imagery data on music drama was collected by kind. And the guidance plan, in which leitmotif connecting all parts of a drama organically is utilized, was developed in the fashion of 8 classes in total. In order to help students understand and participate, multifaceted imagery data was made use for understanding the concept of music drama; taking familiar dramas for the students and the themes of famous movies, as these examples can help students to understand leitmotif. When these were adequately done, students began preparing their own musical play by creating and utilizing a leitmotif in the eighth class, then, they present it. This developed lesson plan was applied to all of 290 students in the total 10 classrooms of the first grade in Seoul S middle school where the researcher is working ; the results were analyzed. An intensive educational system, designed for the completion of the lesson plan in a given time period, was applied to them. Time provided were enough for the musical play class to be accomplished. In addition, two music teachers were asked in advance to cooperate in performing the lesson plan. The results of the analysis of a questionnaire answered when the class was over reveal: students positively answered all about the degree that they were interested in the class for creating a music drama, the degree that they understood the class, and the degree that they participated in it. Furthermore, it was indicated that the activities for creating a leitmotif were helpful in understanding and expressing the traits of characters as well as in understanding the principle of composition and musical elements. They also answered that the activities were effective in increasing the overall degree of unity and completeness of the music drama; it was noted that the class of creating a music drama with the use of leitmotif can develop creativity of students and be a class method to create a high-quality music drama. In addition, it was discovered that students’ active and autonomous participation in the class led them to experience various musical activities, that they become lot more understandable in music as well as their interests in music, and that such changes brought them a new attitude that enjoys music on a daily basis. Along with precedents researches, I expect that this study can be a help for the effective teaching of music drama, those teacher who is teaching at schools, and utilized in it. Moreover, I hope this study becomes an opportunity for the student's widen their musical discernment through music drama.;음악극은 음악적 요소, 연극적 요소, 무용적 요소가 결합된 종합예술을 의미하며 교육적으로는 학생들의 다양한 활동과 참여를 이끌어 낼 수 있는 종합적인 음악활동이라고 할 수 있다. 음악극 수업은 학생들이 주체가 되어 음악하기를 함으로써 학생들의 직접적인 음악 경험과 실제적인 참여가 활발하게 이루어질 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 학생들의 다양한 활동과 음악의 생활화를 이끌어 낼 수 있는 종합적인 음악 수업 모형인 음악극 만들기의 방법으로 유도동기를 활용한 창작 음악극 만들기 수업 지도안을 개발하고 일선학교에서 효과적으로 활용되도록 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 지도안 개발에 앞서 음악극과 유도동기에 관한 문헌의 수집 및 분석을 통해 이론적 토대를 마련하였고 또한 음악극의 종류별 영상자료를 수집하였다. 그리고 극 전체를 유기적으로 연결시켜주는 유도동기를 활용한 창작 음악극 만들기 지도안을 총 8차시에 걸쳐 개발하였다. 학생들의 이해와 참여를 돕기 위해 다양한 영상 자료로 음악극의 개념을 이해하도록 하였으며 학생들에게 친숙한 드라마나 영화 주인공의 테마 등을 예로 들어 유도동기를 이해할 수 있도록 하고 유도동기를 창작하고 활용하여 음악극을 준비하고 마지막 8차시에는 발표를 하도록 하였다. 이렇게 개발된 지도안을 현재 연구자가 근무하고 있는 서울 S여자중학교 1학년 전체 10학급 290명을 대상으로 적용, 결과를 분석하였다. 이들은 집중이수제가 적용되어 음악극 만들기 수업을 하기에 수업시수가 확보 가능하였고 본 연구자 외에 다른 2명의 음악교사에게도 사전에 협조를 구하여 함께 같은 지도안으로 실시하였다. 수업 종료 후에 실시된 설문지 분석 결과, 학생들의 음악극 만들기 수업에 대한 흥미도, 음악극 만들기 수업 내용에 대한 이해도, 음악극 발표 수업 참여도에서 모두 긍정적인 응답이 나왔다. 또한 유도동기 창작 활동이 작곡의 원리 및 음악의 요소를 이해하는 데에는 물론, 유도동기가 등장인물의 특징을 이해하고 표현하는 데에도 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 더불어 전체 음악극의 통일성과 완성도를 높이는 데에도 효과적이었다고 응답하여 유도동기를 활용한 창작 음악극 만들기 수업이 학생의 창의성 계발과 완성도 높은 창작 음악극 만들기 수업 방안이 될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 학생들은 창작 음악극 수업에 적극적이고 자발적인 참여를 통해 다양한 활동이 가능하였으며 음악에 대한 이해와 흥미가 높아지고 생활 속에서 음악을 즐기는 태도가 함양된 것을 볼 수 있었다. 본 연구가 기존의 선행연구들과 더불어 학교 현장에서 효과적인 음악극 수업 지도에 도움 및 활용될 수 있기를 기대하며, 나아가 음악극을 통해 학생들의 음악적 사고의 폭을 넓히는 기회가 되기를 바란다.
