Abstract
The group of students I seek to address are Koreans engaged/married to an American who is looking to improve their knowledge of English and broaden their cultural knowledge through cooking.Students are especially motivated to learn language and how to adapt to North American cultures to form their own intercultural identity when their family relocates. Students have the opportunity to increase their vocabulary of food and cookery and to read about U.S. customs/traditions. In addition, students get to learn vocabulary relating to food, restaurants, tastes and textures; develop reading and comprehension skills; develop speaking skills/discussing preferences and attitudes toward food and traditions.
