Abstract
The interest in development of natural dye products are increased while the general public is getting interested in environment-friendly one as settle down well-being, environment friendliness, and ethical eco that lately appear as a megatrend over the whole industry. the textile and cloth industries seek to reduce a serious environmental pollution and also keep the safety of the human body. tendency of trend changes toward pursuance of functionality, comfortableness, and practicality while naturalism emerges in the fashion. The interest of color expression has been increasing in the color development of clothing materials by the natural fibers and natural dyes that are excellent in human and environment friendly. It was intended to reach to the optimist circumstances in the safflower as comparing and investigating previous researches in detail that were announced so far. It was also intended to figure out the differences between traditional method and developed method of dye. It has been researched of the results analyzing the traditional method of the dye with scientific fundamental as being changed various figures from the process of the dye. It is intended to develop the optimist method of the dying about color expression expected in plan and development comparing and investigating as processing of change the method of extraction of safflower carthamin, pH of dyeing liquid, temperature of dyeing, kinds of acid added to establish optimum method of dyeing about the fabric which is cellulose type fiber. In this study, it appears a* value which shows red color of safflower resulting from extracting carthamin according to changing of K_(2)CO_(3) (potassium carbonate) is being sustained in range of adding of 1.2g~2.6g of K_(2)CO_(3), and shows a similar tendency of ⊿E as well. The condition which 1.2~1.4g being added that especially are minimum alkali appears the best circumstance due to increasing of the brightness. It is considered that the expression of red color does not appear smoothly because of a* value is lower at the be low range. If K_(2)CO_(3) was over added, generally b* value became in negative charged value that resulted to have a strong blue color tendency. Blue color tendency which is expressed negative b* value of dyeing product in case of being used acetic acid(CH_(3)COOH) was remarkably decreased compared with being used citric acid anhydrous(C_(6)H_(8)O_(7)) from processing of extraction of carthamin by K_(2)CO_(3). The value of pH4.0~4.5 is a appropriated for using citric acid anhydrous to have the regulation of carthamin dye and also the range of pH3.5~5.5 is appropriated to get acetic acid. As results from temperature of dyeing, it appeared that it is required over 40℃ should be restrained in case of being used citric acid anhydrous or acetic acid. The pH4.0 is considered the highest quality if only a* value and ⊿E evaluated when 'Kae O Ki' (traditional natural dyeing method in korea) method is applied. The four kinds of acids which are Malic acid, Tartaric acid, Ascorbic acid, Lactic acid show almost the same effect except extracted liquid of Omija(Schizandra chinensis Baillon) for examining the change of differences when adjusting the pH of dyeing liquid by using four kinds of acids.
