스포츠 행위에서 나타나는 감성적 인식에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 스포츠를 이해하는 다양한 방법 가운데 체험적 측면인 감성적 인식이 필요하다는 논지에서 시작되었다. 본 연구는 과학주의와 주지주의로 편향된 스포츠의 온전한 이해를 위해 스포츠에서 나타나는 감성적 인식의 이론을 모색하고, 탐구된 이론을 토대로 스포츠에서 어떻게 재현되는지 실제 요소를 탐색 함으로서 스포츠 근원의 본질적인 이해를 밝히고 이를 감성적 특성으로 규명하고자 한다. 궁극적으로 스포츠에서의 감성적 인식의 지각을 통하여 인간의 존재적 한계를 극복하고 잠재능력을 최대한 발휘하여 주어진 환경에서 진정한 자유를 경험하게 하는 생의 의미를 찾는데 의미가 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 스포츠에서 나타나는 감성적 인식에 대한 이론적 체계의 모색과 재현된 감성적 인식의 실제적 요소를 다음과 같이 분석하였다. 첫째, 이론적 체계를 모색하기 위하여 감성적 인식의 개념과 필요성, 그리고 미학과 감성적 인식과의 관계를 파악하고 철학적, 미학적, 심리 • 사회학적으로 탐구된 선행연구를 토대로 문헌고찰을 하였다. 둘째, 감성적 인식의 체계를 위한 미학적 탐구로서 인지예술론, 숭고론, 에피파니 로 접근하여 이론적 근저를 체계화하고 각 이론이 스포츠에서 어떠한 의미로 나타나며, 반영되고 있는지 알아보았다. 셋째, 전술한 감성적 인식의 이론적 체계에 근거하여 스포츠에서 나타나는 감성적 인식의 재현적 요소를 질적 연구 방법 중의 하나인 심층면담을 통하여 살펴보았다. 이러한 과정에서 나타난 재현의 요소로서 인지 예술의 입장에서 나타난 감성적 인식은 전체성과 조화, 광휘로 각각 살펴보았다. 즉 전체성은 하나됨과 생각의 단순화의 측면에서, 조화는 부분과의 관계의 측면에서, 광휘는 자신감, 타인의 시선, 스타일 창조 등으로 세분화된 요소가 표출되었다. 숭고 론 의 입장에서 감성적 인식은 도전, 자기희생, 고통의 극복, 아곤과 아레테로서의 경쟁의 의미 회복이 요소로 나타났다. 마지막으로 에피파니로서의 감성적 인식은 깨달음, 몸의 색다른 지각, 의식의 변용상태로 분석되었으며, 의식의 변용상태의 세부 항목으로는 시공간 의식이 변용, 판단의 명료함이 세부 재현요소로 탐색되었다. 스포츠에서 경험할 수 있는 감성적 인식은 자기 체험적 지식을 통하여 스포츠에 집중하고 몰입하는 과정에서 자연스럽게 지각되며, 이를 통해서 자신의 한계를 이해할 수 있다. 또한 이를 극복하고 초월한 경험은 일상생활에도 진지한 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 인간에게 불가피한 존재적 한계를 이해하고 극복하려 노력하며, 이를 초월할 때 생은 또 다른 강력한 의미를 지니게 된다. 현실세계에서 존재적 한계를 경험하기에 앞서 스포츠를 통해서 그 두려움의 과정을 경험하고, 이를 극복하고 초월함을 지각하는 것은 적극적이고 진취적인 생에로의 준비가 된다.;This study focused on the aesthetic knowing in sports which was considered the experimental aspects as one of the various methods in understanding sports. The purpose of this study were to analyse the theoretical aspects of aesthetic knowing in sports to understand sports as a whole apart from the biased scientism and intellectualism, and to find out the representation in actual sports to clarify the understanding of the intrinsic values of sports. The ultimate purpose were to seek for meaning in the life of overcoming the existing limitation of human, to achieve one's full potential through awareness of aesthetic knowing in sports and to experience the true state of real freedom. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, theoretical bases on aesthetic knowing and the actual representation of the aesthetic knowing has been analyzed. First, to inquire the theoretical structure, understand the concept and necessity of aesthetic knowing and finding out the relationship between aesthetic and aesthetic knowing has been performed followed by previous researches based on the philosophical, aesthetical, and social•psychological aspects. Second, for structuring aesthetic knowing, artistic cognition theory, the sublime theory, and epiphany has been approached as inquiry aesthetic to systemize the theoretical evidence and find out how each theory was being presented and applied in sports. Third, representation of the aesthetic knowing in sports based on the aesthetics theory mentioned above, has been investigated through performing in­depth interview that was one of the qualitative research method. With an artistic cognition, the representation factors have been individually observed in wholeness, harmony, and radiance. In wholeness factor, unity and simplified thinking of performance were found, in radiance factor, self­ confidence, attention of others, and self­styling creation were detected, The aesthetic knowing in the sublime theory, challenge, self­sacrifice, conquest of pain, agon and arete emerged as means of retrieving meanings of competition. Last, the aesthetic knowing in the epiphany theory, enlightment, different body perceptions, an altered state of consciousness has been analyzed. The altered state of consciousness was related with time­space conversion, clarity of judgement.
