DATA BASE의 RELATIONAL MODEL과 도서관 업무의 전산화 연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 도서관 업무중 접수와 Claim, 독자들에 대한 봉사에 필요한 부분을 다루었는데 데이타 베이스를 구성하는 3가지 방법인 Relational방법, Hierarchical방법, Network방법 중[1} 본 논문에서는 Relational 방법으로써 데이터 베이스를 분석해 보았다. Relational Model의 개념에 대한 설명과 그에 필요한 용어를 실제의 데이타 베이스를 예로 들어서 보였고, 실제로 데이타 베이스 시스템을 적용할 수 있는 기관으로서 한국과학기술 연구소의 도서관을 택해서 도서관 업무의 전산화를 이루게 되었다. 또한 데이타 베이스를 이용하는 여러 프로그램을 통해서 얻은 결과로써 독자들에게 직접 도움이 될 수 있는 title 별, 주제별, 분류번호별로 되어있는 여러 형태의 출력 자료가 있으며 이것을 각각 부록으로 제시했다.;This study deals with the application of the relational model of the data base in library work. Receiving of books from publishers and claiming when books are not received are mainly treated. Among the three approaches, relational, heirarchical and network, the relational approach is applied in analyzing the data base. This paper contains the explanations of the concepts of the relational model and shows the examples of the data base. The library system of the Korea Institute of Science and Technology(KIST) is employed in this program. Many application programs which use the data base provide output lists sorted in the order of title, subject, and call-number; etc. and each of those lists are followed by appendix.
