Abstract
This thesis aims at identifying the socio-cultural and economic factors that have led to a high prevalence of HIV/AIDS among women from 13 to 45 years in Cameroon. To carry out this research, an analysis based on qualitative technique was used to gather information from secondary sources. It found out that socio-cultural and economic factors have made women in Cameroon to be more vulnerable to HIV/AIDS. Under socio-cultural factors; polygamy and concubine, widow inheritance, number of life time partners, female genital mutilation and early marriage were analyzed. The economic factors that have also contributed to this situation include poverty and its related causes which are prostitution, separation and divorce. HIV can be reduced in Cameroon if the men join the women; government and international community to carry on the fight against the pandemic. This can be done by reducing the inequalities and change of behavior.;본논문의목적은카메룬의 13세부터 45세가임여성사이의높은 HIV/AIDS 발병률을가져오는사회-문화적, 경제적요인에대해분석하는것이다.
