素月 詩 硏究

Abstract

In this thesis the writer will examine the Structural characteristic of Sowol's poems and explain the significance of his poetic literary history in Korea based on Sowol's opinion on poetry and his poems written in 1920. Many scholars of literature have been studying Sowol's poems in many aspects, but most of the results of their studies have generally defined that Sowol's poems were genre definition of the traditional folk's poem, or sentimentalism of an age, or resigned and pessimistic feelings as an expression of an emotional lamentation. Bull it is not enough to define Sowol's individuality as only folk's poetry and original Korean lamentation. Anyway, being founded in folk's poetry and original Korean lamentation, we can't probe the true state of Sowol's individuality. Through his way of expressing language in his poems which how show emotion and rythm, we finally find out the power of his artistic imagination and his poetic spirit is controlling his imagination. The fruit of examining Sowol's poetic opinion md poems is moderated aesthetics resulted from Sowol's existential acknowledgement on death, and through the acknowledgement pure action of reduction into death. The individual value of the poem is an important keypoint when we think the artistic and genre characteristics of literature which gives more emphasis on subjectivity as substential being than on an individual as a member of a society. Consequently in this thesis I could find out Sowol's individual acknowledgement on death in the process of studying his poetic accomplishments having emotional feelings of most common original Korean words and materialization. This Sowol's acknowledgement on death is not ended between the boundry of substantial acknowledgement of life and death, and his spirit of poetry is expressed his poetic pure, beautiful figure in the course of action of reduction into death. The writer can define the whole Sowol's poems as a shadowed aesthetics dying by death. My attempt to literary criticism on Sowol demands the reconsideration of the modern poetio history of Korea, Sowol's accomplishments shaped with the most common and clear words which established a sure foundation fo aesthetics that persuited the pure reduction into death are preparing a possible room for the revival of korean modern poetry.;本稿에서는 素月의 言語觀(詩論)과 詩를 토대로 하여 素月詩의 構造的 特性을 檢討하고 1920年代에 자리하고 있는 素月의 韓國詩史的 意義를 밝혀 보려 한다. 수 많은 文學 硏究家들이 素月의 詩를 여러 측면에서 硏究하고 있는데 그러한 硏究의 결과는 대체로 傳統的 民謠詩로서의 장르적 정립이라든가 시대적 감상주의나 한국적 情恨의 전개로서, 諦念과 悲哀의 情緖로서 정의를 내리고 있다. 그러나 民謠詩나 韓國的 情恨으로서는 素月詩의 獨自性을 規明할 수 없다. 詩의 言語表現에 나타난 情緖나 律格을 통해 궁극적으로 만나게 되는 것은 詩人의 蕓적術的 想像力과 그 想像力을 지배하고 있는 詩精神이다. 素月의 詩論과 詩를 檢討한 결과 얻은 성과는 素月의 죽음에 대한 存在論的 認識과 그러한 認識을 통한 죽음에로의 순수한 還元作用 속에서 빚어지는 절제된 美學이다. 詩의 獨自的 가치가 사회 구성원의 한 개인으로서 보다 實存的 存在로서의 主體性이 더욱 강조되어야 함은 文學의 예술쟝르적 특성을 감안할 때 중요한 관건이다. 따라서 本稿에서는 가장 普遍的 한국어의 정감을 지니면서 형상화된 그의 詩 業績을 추구하는 과정에서 素月의 獨自的인 죽음에 대한 인식을 추출할 수 있었다. 이 죽음에 대한 素月의 인식은 삶과 죽음사이에 존재론적 인식의 限界에 끝나지 않고, 죽음에로의 還元作用속에서 발생되는 그의 詩精神이 순수한 아름다움의 詩的 형상화로 표현된다. 素月詩의 全篇은 "죽음이 착색된 陰影의 美學"으로 정의를 내릴 수 있다. 이러한 素月에 對한 文學批評의 시도는 종래의 皮相的 硏究에 대한 반성을 촉구하였다. 한국 현대 시사에 있어서 "죽음에로의 순수한 환원"을 추구한 美學的 정립의 기반으로서 가장 普遍的이고 明澄한 言語로 형상화한 素月의 업적은 한국 현대시가 어떻게 되살아 나야 하는가에 대한 可能性의 空間을 마련하고 있다.
