이미지의 추구

Abstract

Generally we have dealt the term "Image" directly as representation external phenomenon of objects and even understood in a category of illusion. In fact, the image in painting is located around men's internal illusion which responds through form of objects. And painting is done by making image represented and formed. The painting in this thesis is made by interpretary image which is obtained from ordinary lives and forming it on the canvas which is entirely new and genuine space. For effiency, intention of work, matrial, meaning of human method and technique of comp-sition in the space, and the meaning of color were explained. Futher more, the following s were compared and the meaning of person in the sculpture of George Segal, the transparence which is shown in the work of Picabia(1927-1928), life landscapes of Cremonini. By explaining above things, the author confirms the materials which author want to express and the techniques are resonable, and intend to set up the view of value about subjective creation work.;본래는 이미지라는 말을 곧 바로 재현적인 것, 혹은 대상의 외향적인 현상, 그리고 좀 더 나아가서는 어떤 환상작용의 범주 아래 파악하여 왔던 것이 일반적 통념이었다. 또 사실상 회화에 있어서의 이미지는 사물의 形狀을 통해 반응하는 인간의 내적 일루적(Illusion)의 앞뒤에 그 위치를 다듬어 왔던 것이기도 하다. 그래서 회화의 이미지는 많든 적든 재현의식과 거기에 따르는 形象化作用이 있게 되는데 이 논문에서 설명될 그림은 생활속에서 얻어지는 이미지를 필자 나름대로 조형언어로 해석하여 한 평면 위에 재구성된 새로운 공간속에 形象化한 것이다. 연구의 목적은 일상적인 환경에서 얻은 이미지를 작품속에 구체화하여 새로운 공간을 형성하고 그 속에 도시에서 쉽게 볼 수 있는 대사을 더함으로써 화면의 공간을 현실적으로 만들어 주고, 그 위에 인간을 넣어 사회속에 생활하고 있는 인간의 존재를 인식시키려고 하였다. 작품의 대상으로 인간과 도시의 건물이 주는 이미지를 바탕으로 우리들의 주위 환경을 표현하였으며 방법으로는 공간의 재구성, 화면에 있어서의 빛의 효과, 색상의 조화등으로 추상적인 인간의 존재를 구명하려 했다. 이론적 기반은 Cremonini의 생활 풍경화, George Segal의 조작에서의 인물이 갖는 의미, Adami의 꼴라쥬 방법, Picabia가 1927년∼1928년 사이에 발표한 작품에서 볼 수 있는 투영법등에 접근하면서 본인의 제작 방법과 비교 분석하였다. 본론에서 시도한 설명을 통해 作品에 表現하고 싶은 소재와 그 기법상의 타당성을 재확인하고, 주관적인 창작 행위에 대한 스스로의 가치관을 설정, 재정립하고자 한다.
