精神科 勤務 看護員과 非精神科 勤務 看護員의 人性特性에 關한 比較 硏究

Abstract

本 硏究는 精神科 患者에게 좀더 나은 看護를 제공하기 위하여 精神科에 勤務하는 看護員의 人性特性과 非精神科에 勤務하는 看護員의 人性特性과의 차이를 비교하고자 한다. 具體的으로 說明하면 다음과 같다. 첫째 : 精神科 看護員과 非精神科 看護員의 人性特性간에 차이가 있는가를 알아 본다. 둘째 : 看護員의 臨床 勤務年限의 多寡와 人性特性간에 차이가 있는가를 알아본다. 셋째 : 精神科 看護員의 勤務滿足度에 따른 人性特性간에 차이가 있는가를 알아본다. 넷째 : 非精神科 看護員의 勤務 經驗有無와 人性特性간에 차이가 있는가를 알아본다. 이를위해 본 연구는 人性特性을 測定하기 위한 道具로서 간편 MMPI (陳 渭敎, 金 亨立, 1971), 표준화 성격 진단검사 (李 相龜, 邊 昌鎭, 陳 渭敎, 1972)와 간호원의 인적사항및 개인적 특성의 조사를 위한 질문지를 조사대상 간호원에게 조사하였다. 調査對象者의 選定은 全國의 24개 精神病院에서 勤務하는 精神科 看護員 138名과 非精神科 看護員 151名으로 하였다. MMPI 및 標準化 性格 診斷檢査의 結果는 標準點數를 계산하여 집단간의 要求別特性의 有意의 차이를 분석하였다. 資料의 處理및 統計的 分析은 電子計算機(EDPS)를 이용하였다. 有意의 차이를 검토하기 위하여 t-test를 시행하였다. 본 硏究에서 얻은 結論은 다음과 같다. 첫째 : 精神科 看護員에게 있어서 不安 경향이 유의 있는 차이로 높았으며 그 외의 다른 특성에 있어서는 유의의 차이가 없었다. 둘째 : 臨床勤務年限의 多寡와 人性特性의 비교에서는 精神科 看護員의 경우 유의의 차이를 발견하기 못하였으며 非精神科 看護員의 경우에 있어서는 安定性만이 유의있는 차이를 보여 2년 6개월 이상의 근무 집단에서 2년 6개월이하의 근무 집단보다 높게 나타났다. 셋째 : 精神科 看護員의 勤務滿足간에 人性特性의 비교에 있어서는 만족스러운 집단의 경우 優越性만이 유의의 차이를 보여 근무 만족집단이 근무 불만족 집단보다 높게 나타났다. 넷째 : 非精神科 看護員의 精神科 근무 經驗有無간에 人性特性의 비교에 있어서는 유의의 차이를 보이지 않았다. ;This study investigated the difference between the personality traits of psychiatric nurses and those of nonpsychiatric nurses. The specific objectives of this study were to determine: 1. The difference between personality traits of psychiatric nurses and nonpsychiatric nurses. 2. The relationship between the personality traits of psychiatric nurses and the length of their nursing experience. 3. The relationship between the personality traits of psychiatric nurses and their job satisfaction. 4. The relationship between the personality traits of nonpsychiatric nurses according to the fact that they have had the experience in psychiatric nursing or not. Instruments used in measuring personality were to used, 1. A Simplified M M P I (by W. K. Chin and H. R. Kim, 1971) 2. The Standardized Personality Diagnostic Test (by S. R. Lee, C. J. Pyun and W. K. Chin, 1969) 3. A Questionaire constructed bo item of demographic data. The instruments were administered to a random sample of 138 psychiatric nurses and 151 nonpsychiatric nurses and from all the 24 hospitals in Korea with psychiatric units. Using the T-score of both the MMPI and the Personality Diagnostic Test, the personality traits of all the nurses were analyzed and compared. Means, Standard Deviations, and T-test were calculated for each of the inventories by computer. Results: 1. There were no significant differences between the personality traits of psychiatric nurses and nonpsychiatric nurses. Analysis of the test results, however, suggested that many psychiatric nurses differ from nonpsychiatric nurses in that they feel uneasy and unstable. 2. Previous nursing experience apparently has no important effect upon the psychiatric nurses. However, nonpsychiatric nurses differed from psychiatric nurses in that they feel secure. 3. As for the relationship between the personality traits of psychiatric nurses and their job satisfaction, those nurses who were satisfied with their job tended to have a sense of superiority. 4. There were no significant differences between the personality traits of nonpsychiatric nurses who had had psychiatric nursing experience and those who had not. In general, the findings suggested that the psychatric nurses were relatively less timid and warmer in their interpersonal relationships, more stable, and more capable of leadership.
