올풀기의 아트패브릭(Art Fabric)을 응용한 복식디자인 연구

Abstract

복식은 사람들의 창조적인 욕구를 충족시키고 개성을 표현케 하며 착용자나 보는 사람 모두에게 예술적인 감동을 불러 일으키는 인간의 미의식이 반영되는 이상적인 표현매체이다. 현대사회에서의 복식은 대량생산으로 인해 점점 획일화되어 가고 있어 다품종 소량생산의 고부가치의 복식이 요구되고 있다. 이에 따라 현대 패션 디자이너들은 기능적 측면만이 아닌 조형적 측면을 강조하여 창조의 자율성을 넓혀 가고 있다. 따라서 복식디자인에 있어서 다양한 소재와 표현기법에 의한 아트 패브릭(Art Fabric)을 복식의 소재로 사용하여 새로운 복식 예술을 창출해 나가고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 올풀기 기법(Fraying)을 중심으로 한 띠를 사용하여 조형예술의 가장 기본적인 요소가 되는 선의 대표적 구성원리인 반복, 율동, 연속, 점증에 입각한 선적인 배열을 하였다. 이러한 선을 다양하게 표현하기 위해서 브레이딩(Braiding), 트위스팅(Twisting), 슬래싱(Slashing) 기법을 복합적으로 사용하였고 율동미와 생동감을 표현한 아트 패브릭을 복식 소재로 도입하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 입체적이고 독특한 재질감을 표현하는 복식소재의 개발과 그 표현방법을 제안하는데 있으며 나아가, 복식의 시각적 표면효과를 극대화하는 방안을 모색함에 의의를 둔다. 본 연구의 내용 및 방법은 이론적 배경으로서 아트 패브릭에 대한 개념을 고찰하였고 다양한 표현기법을 정리, 분류하였으며 현대 복식에 응용된 특징을 자료사진을 통하여 알아보았다. 또한 올풀기 기법의 유래와 복식에 나타난 종류를 문헌과 자료사진을 통하여 알아보았고 배열방법에 의한 선의 의미와 선적인 구성원리를 문헌과 자료사진을 통하여 살펴보았다. 이러한 이론적 배경을 토대로 올풀기 기법을 중심으로 브레이딩, 트위스팅, 슬래싱 등의 기법을 사용하여 선적인 배열을 하였다. 이것에 의한 독특한 재질감을 복식에 도입해 총 8점 작품을 실물 제작하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2차원적인 띠를 조형단위로 해서 올풀기의 주요기법과 함께 브레이딩, 트위스팅, 슬래싱 등의 기법들을 새로운 입체적 재질감의 아트 패브릭을 가능케 하였으며, 이러한 기법을 통하여 생동하는 율동미를 부여할 수 있었다. 둘째, 반복, 연속, 점진 등의 원리에 입각한 선적인 배열은 그 율동적 조형미로 인해 인체의 곡선과 자연스럽게 조화될 수 있었다. 셋째, 침염과 붓염에 의한 흑백농담의 점이적인 변화는 아트 패브릭의 부조적인 표면효과에 있어서 올풀림의 섬세함과 입체적 재질감에 상승효과를 조성하였다. 넷째, 다양한 실크 소재의 사용은 고급스러우며 섬세한 실루엣을 표현할 수 있었고 변화있는 재질감의 표현과 함께 무채색에 의한 간결미를 효과적으로 돋보이게 하였다.;Dress and its ornaments are the ideal expression media to satisfy the creative desire of people, to make them express the personality, to arouse the artistic impression to The wearer or all the people to see and to reflect the human aestetic sense. As the dress and its ornaments in modern society is being unified gradually due the mass production, the high value added dress and its ornaments of many items and small quantity production are being demanded. According to this, modern fashion designers are widening the autonomy of creation, by empahsizing the plastic side which is not functional side. Thus, this researcher is creating the art of new dress and its ornaments by using the Art Fabric based on diverse materials and expression technique as the material of the dress and its ornaments in the design of dress and its ornaments. So, in this study, this researcher tried the linear arrangement on the basis of the repetition, melody, continuity and gradual increase which are the representative composition principle of line to be the most basic elements of plastic art, about the belt centering around the technique to draw out the strand. So as to express this line diversely, this researcher introduced the Art Fabric which expressed the rhythm beauty and vivid sense as the material of the dress and its ornaments, by using the techniques of Braiding, Twisting, and Slashing complicatedly. The goal of this study is to develop the materials of the dress and its ornaments to express the three-dimensional and peculiar texture and suggests the expression method. And, furthermore, this researcher lays the meaning in groping for the scheme to maximize the visual expression effect of the dress and its ornaments. As for the contents and method of this study, this researcher studied the concept about the Art Fabric as the theoretical background, arranged and classified the diverse expression techniques, and examined the feature which was applied to modern dress and its ornaments through data photoes. In addition, this researcher examined the origin of the technique drawing out the strand and the kind which appeared in the dress and its ornaments through literature and data photoes, and examined the meaning of line based oh the arrangement method and the linear composition principle through literature and data photoes. On the basis of this theoretical background, this researcher tried the linear arrangement by using the techniques such as Braiding, Twisting and Slashing etc. centering around the technique drawing out the strand. By introducing the peculiar texture based on this to the dress and its ornaments, this researcher manufactured total 8pieces of real thing works. To synthesize the result of this study is as follows. ; First, the techniques such as Braiding, Twisting and Slashing etc. together with the main technique drawing out the strand enabled the art fabric of new three-dimensional texture by making the two dimensional belt as the plastic unit. And, through this concept, this researcher could give the vivid rhythmic beauty. Second, the linear arrangement based on the principle such as repetition, continuity and gradual progress etc. could harmonize with the curve of human body naturally due to the Fhythmic plastic beauty. Third, the gradual change of light and shade of black and white which is based on dip-dyeing and brush-dyeing created the rise effect in the delicacy and three dimensional texture of the drawing out of strand, in the relief-characteristic surface effect of art fabric. Fourth, the use of diverse silk materials could express the highclass and delicate silhouette, and it showed the concise beauty based on achromatic color with the expression of changeful to advantage effectively.
