꽃의 사실적 표현연구

Abstract

Nature portrays an infinite meaning of life for men. Thus men endeavores endlessly to observe and express the beauty of nature. These efforts of men to express nature serves as a medium to discover the sense of beauty and this process is perceived as an act of modeling the artist's inner feelings, this creative act can also be found in batik. It begins by dyeing the fabrics to add men's artistic needs to the practical features that fabrics originally have, thus elevating the status of fabric into a form of art. The will to pursue creative modeling on batiks resulted in the development of various new techniques of artistic expression, thereby enabling this form of art to be recognized as one proper field within the domain of art. I have used flowers, one important sub theme of nature, to express their beauty and the order of nature which is manifest in the biological structure of the flowers. To achieve this purpose, I have studied the relationship between men and nature to serve as theoretic background, and the techniques applied to express the various forms of flowers on existion batiks. Based on the studies undertaken, I have come to the following conclusions. First, nature is intimately related to men. Thus men is faced with an endless need to artistically recreate the nature and can derive infinite subthemes from it. And by doing so, the artist can crate a totally new and unique world of his own. Second, In the wake of studying the existing arts and texts, I was able to understand the unique technique of dyeing and its potential to express, not to mention the effectiveness of this art form. Third, in expressing flowers, especially to convey their beauty, their splendor and their fragility, dyeing deems to be the most effective means of expression which is uncomparable to any other forms of art because dyeing allows natural graduation While undertaking this research, I was able to encounter various problems and accordingly have made efforts to seek solutions. I intent to continue studying the multiplicities of subject materials, new techniques of expression and target subthemes in the future to contribute in any way I can to promote dying as a proper form of art.;자연은 인간에게 무한한 의미를 지니고 있는 것으로 인간의 끊임없는 관찰과 표현의 대상이 되어 있다. 이러한 인간의 자연에 대한 표현은 미를 발견하는 구체적 수단이되며 인간의 내면세계를 통하여 조형활동으로 나타난다. 이와 같은 조형활동이 염색분야에도 적용되어 섬유에 채색을 하면서 시작되어 직물이 갖는 본래의 실용성위에 인간의 심미적 욕구를 충족시키면서 공예로서 그 위치를 확고히 하고 있다. 또한 조헝성을 추구하는 창조의지는 다양한 새로운 표현기법의 개발로 독특한 작품세계를 이루어 미술의 한 분야로서 위치를 인정받고 있다. 이에 본 연구자는 자연의 소재인 꽃을 표현대상으로 하여 꽃이 가진 아름다움과 상태구조에서 보여지는 질서, 생명감을 표현하고자 하였다. 이를 위한 이론적 기반으로 자연과 인간과의 관계, 꽃의 표현기법으로 택한 납 방염에 관한 연구를 바탕으로 작품제작 및 분석을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 작품표현의 소재인 꽃은 화려함과 아름다움이 주가 되는 것으로 대범한 표현위주의 그림이나 스케일이 큰 그림의 소재보다는 꼼꼼하고 자세한 묘사를 필요로 한다. 이러한 성향이 본 연구자의 취향과 성격에 잘 맞는 소재라 생각되었기에 작품의 소재로 제작에 임하였고, 기법 면에서는 납방염과 색의 점이(gradation)를 통하여 꽃의 섬세함과 화려함을 표현하고자 하였는데, 어떤 회화분야보다 자연스럽게 색의 점이(gradation)가 이루어질 수 있는 장점으로 사실적인 표현, 명암, 그리고 공간감을 표현하는데, 매우 효과적이었다. 한편 꽃이라는 소재가 여러 작가들이 많이 다루어온 소재 이니만큼 꽃을 표현하는데 있어 다른 작가와는 구분될 수 있는 독특한 개성을 표현 할 수 있는 작품을 제작하고자 노력할 것이며, 이를위해 본 연구자는 작품의 문제점을 발견하고 그 해결 방법을 찾고자 하였다. 특히, 앞으로 다양한 재료와 기법, 새로운 소재로의 변화등 지속적인 연구를 통하여 보다 낳은 조형 예술의 한분야로 발전시켜 나아가고자 한다.
